The Intelligence platform in National Library of Russia

  In 2010 215 years from the moment of foundation of National Library of Russia were performed. Being located in the historic center of St. Petersburg, the Library is a cultural dominant of the Northern Capital along with the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, Aleksandrinsky and Mariinsky theaters and other cultural centers. The buildings occupied by library represent architecture monuments. According to the decree of the President of Russia, the library is especially valuable object of national heritage and makes historical and cultural property of the people of the Russian Federation.

Within the master plan of reconstruction of National Library of Russia development of engineering infrastructure and security system was planned. The equipment of buildings and premises modern complexes of technical means of security and also creation of an end-to-end system of safety of employees and funds on the basis of computer technologies entered the strategy of security of library, in particular.

In July, 2010 specialists of the companies "NEVISS-Kompleks" and "VIZZARA" in the building of National Library of Russia installed a digital video surveillance system based on a software package "ITV Intelligence" for test operation.

A system included the cameras located on checkpoints in all reading rooms and on building perimeter, one high-end video server ViServer of production of the company "VIZZARA" and also two remote workplaces organized for video surveillance operators. The installed system deserved a positive review of the head of the security service of Federal State Budgetary Institution National Library of Russia M.S. Gubarev. The decision on large-scale system implementation on the basis of the platform "ITV Intelligence" in library buildings was made.
