Begin with Siemens Healthineers and Kazan Federal University joint work

On May 23, 2017 announced Siemens Healthineers cooperation with Kazan Federal University. Through joint efforts partners will study and test the new digital equipment, the software for research activity, diagnostics and treatment of diseases.

Within the agreement signed for five years, Siemens Healthineers free of charge will provide to the Kazan university the device ACUSON Freestyle. It is the ultrasonic scanner with wireless sensors which allows to carry out the procedure at distance to 3 meters between the sensor and the scanner.

To show advantages of the device and to hold clinical and technology master classes for future doctors, to the university there will arrive specialists of the training center Siemens Healthineers in Moscow.

Also joint development of package applications by means of a specialized software of syngo.via Frontier intended for the advanced research and development in the field of radiodiagnosis is planned.

Siemens Healthineers will help the partner at all stages of cooperation, and the Kazan Federal University will report results of researches and a response about use of the ultrasonic device ACUSON Freestyle. The main goal of cooperation — to define efficiency and convenience of using of the ultrasonic device at patients with different diseases. The scientific publications devoted to the latest trends in medicine will become an important part of the agreement also.

The company appreciates scientific projects which develop not only science and medical case, but also society in general, and at Institute of fundamental medicine and biology of KFU work on such projects.
