2020: Implementation of the Mobile Public Inspector platform

On November 23, 2020 the Digital Design company announced that all staff of JSC RZD has now an opportunity to report the revealed violations safety of movement by means of the Mobile Public Inspector platform. This platform developed by Digital Design company allows to fix violations by photo and video means and also to keep track of the status of their elimination in real time.

One of the main objectives of Department of traffic safety of the Russian Railway is formation and improvement of safety management systems of the movement and operation of railway transport. For the purpose of creation of unified information and managerial environment for operational activity in the direction of security of the movement in JSC RZD the single communication framework the "Navigator of security" developed by Digital Design Ltd company was implemented. Within the last several years the platform dynamically develops, for example, in 2019 access to "The navigator of security" from the Internet was provided. It allowed to create a uniform information circuit for interaction of Internet users and internal network JSC RZD when ensuring necessary level of information security that allowed to begin in 2020 development of functionality for control of traffic safety from employees of JSC RZD - public safety inspectors of train service.

The digital technology "Mobile Public Inspector" allows public safety inspectors of train service at identification of violations in the field of traffic safety to fix them photo and video means and to quickly transfer information to responsibles. The organization of process in internal network JSC RZD promotes timely elimination of violations which can lead to negative effects for people, the equipment and infrastructure and also to material and reputation costs. The technology directed to strengthening public control allows employees of Russian Railway company, not indifferent to security issues of the movement, to fix violations and to control their elimination from personal mobile devices.

The digital technology "Mobile Public Inspector" is implemented on the Volga railroad where within the "pilot" project the interface of visualization of processing of violations on information displays is developed, and started in replication on network of the railroads.

Implementation of digital technology "Mobile Public Inspector" allowed to increase the involvement of employees of JSC RZD into the culture of permanent improvements on security issues of the movement. Now non-management employees including those who have no corporate account on the Navigator of Security portal received the clear tool for response to the situations menacing to traffic safety. By data Digital Design, only for the period trial operation of use of digital technology "Mobile Public Inspector" more than 250 messages about violations were processed. JSC RZD pays much attention to work on permanent increasing the level of security of the movement therefore it is important to management to involve a bigger circle of the divisions and employees working at all territory of the country in this process.

Nobody knows a situation in workplaces as well as the people performing there the work. To us it is important that this tool was simple and clear in use, did not take away a lot of time from employees for its studying, provided the high speed of reaction from heads and control of process in real time", - representatives of the Russian Railway noted.

2016: Implementation intranet portal "Navigator of security"

On December 15, 2016 it became known of an implementation project the intranet portal "The navigator of security" by request of Russian Railway holding. The contractor in the project Digital Design company.

Project Tasks

One of the main tasks which was set for developers of this portal, – to help users to find all necessary information on traffic safety of trains, to get acquainted with those events which are held within development in JSC "Russian Railways" of a safety culture. Creation of this communication resource is provided by "road map" of implementation of formation of a positive safety culture of the movement in Russian Railway holding for 2016. Project Progress

As electronic platform for creation of the Navigator of Security portal the version of the automated control system for operational activity of IT economy of JSC "Russian Railways" (ODIT ACS) developed by Digital Design Ltd^[1] is used].

The structure of the portal represents set of seventeen nodes integrated in one information space. In addition to a node of central office for department of traffic safety (central district hospital), the Navigator of Security portal includes sixteen nodes of the regional centers of corporate management (RCCM).

Input on the portal - on the basis of accounts the intranet network of JSC "Russian Railways".

When developing the portal the company assumed complex use of its opportunities, automation of functions on acquaintance, discussion and feedback from the staff of department of traffic safety.

Project Results

As the press service of holding stated, on December 1, 2016 the intranet portal "The navigator of security" began to function on pilot polygons of the October, Gorky and West Siberian regional centers of corporate management. The resource is intended for cultural development of safety of workers.
