The Russian division of ABB concern of SAP implemented through ARIS

The IDS Scheer company and ABB concern completed the joint project on the process focused SAP R/3 system implementation in the Russian division "Equipment for power industry" of ABB concern.

As a part of the Russian division of international concern ABB Moskabel, ABB Power Systems, ABB UETM, ABB Elektroizolit Bushing and ABB Elektroinzhiniring companies are joint. In Russia seven production sites and more than ten representations are located.

Project works included engineering of business processes, the process focused implementation of information system SAP R/3 and also training of staff of division of methodology and to skills of work with the ARIS tools.

The project started at the beginning of 2005. The consolidated information system of division allowing to solve problems of business process management of all lifecycle of engineering works of the company in a uniform key – from the moment of the order of a utilities equipment before its installation and service maintenance was as a result designed.

Within the carried-out works for interactive interaction with users the functionality of the module ARIS WebPublisher which allowed to publish business process models on the internal web portal of the company was used.

Also using ARIS it was succeeded to connect business processes with an organization structure and service duties of staff of concern, necessary points of control were set and all flow of documents and transactions in the company is organized.

Further cooperation of the companies will be continued in the field of control automation by business processes both at the global level, and at the level of the Russian divisions.
