The government of Chelyabinsk region and LANIT signed the agreement on investment cooperation

On March 2, 2011 the acting as the governor of Chelyabinsk region Sergey Komyakov and the chief executive of LANIT company Vladimir Gribov signed the agreement on investment cooperation in the field of information technologies.

According to the signed document of the party will start implementation of a number of socially important IT projects in Chelyabinsk region in the nearest future. In particular, LANIT planned construction in the region of a federal data processing center. There are no analogs this large-scale project (except for Moscow) in Russia. It is planned that the center will occupy the separate building. On the area of 12 thousand square meters more than 1600 server racks will be placed. The enterprises and the organizations which signed the agreement with the center shift from themselves a number of the corresponding problems connected with service and security of the data.

As Sergey Komyakov reported, it is the second meeting with representatives of LANIT company, the first in December of last year was seen off by the governor Mikhail Yurevich. "Two last months specialists of the company and the government of the region worked on preparation of the framework agreement. Taking into account that informatization was included firmly into life of Russians, emergence in South Ural of such authoritative company as LANIT is interesting to us. This is the large player in the market of information technologies who is engaged not only a data processing center. The company has 14 types of business, in particular on provision of services in the field of storage and information processing, development of business processes, safety of management of material flows and even trainings in this sphere. The interests of the company and government of the region match. We hope that the demand of LANIT company and a range of the services provided to them in Chelyabinsk region will only increase", - Sergey Komyakov emphasized.

It is planned that based on the center will begin implementation the regional project "Electronic Government" which means transfer of the public municipal services to an electronic form. Besides, actions of this agreement will are aimed also at the development of intelligent systems of management of city resources, infrastructure and also traffic safety in the region. The data processing center can also act as base for development of small and innovation business and will be capable to ensure smooth operation of large industrial enterprises. Implementation of these projects will allow to attract additional investments into the area and will create new jobs for engineering specialties.

According to Vladimir Gribov, the advantage of work of the center will be felt on himself by each South Ural resident: "Without leaving the house to pay for utilities, to acquire the rights, to register the car in GAI, to make purchases – all this will become possible in the near future based on a federal data processing center. It will allow to reach qualitatively other level of capacities and electronic calculations"

Besides, within the agreement with the help of LANITA in area a number of actions for increase in energy efficiency and to energy saving will be implemented. In particular, system implementation of ASKUPE (an automated system of accounting of electricity consumption) in Chelyabenergo IDGC of Ural branch is planned.
