To the cattle in Primorye began to implant chips

On July 7, 2020 it became known of the beginning of chipping of farm animals in Primorye. The main objective of the project of identification of the cattle and automation of the livestock industry — to ensure antiepizootic and food safety of agro-industrial complex.

The project on chipping of hoofed animals and digitalization of animal husbandry started in the Ussuriysk district and Mikhaylovsk the area. It is implemented by Regagro company. The identification number was got by more than 10 thousand heads, including small cattle and horses.

Individual number which is entered to base of the unified state register is assigned to each animal. All information on an animal – a family tree, the clinical record, diagnostic testings, movements is fixed. Identification does transparent transactions of purchase and sale of animals, excludes forgeries and plunders of the cattle.

According to the press service of the edge government, mobile application allows to registrate and identify animals in field conditions even in the absence of the Internet, to make out sending tests to laboratory, to fix vaccination and other sanitary and preventive actions.

The pocket computer with the built-in scanners quickly identifies an animal, all registration procedure takes no more than 30 seconds. A system automatically creates electronic accompanying documents, pet passports, acts of the held preventive antiepizootic events.

Implantation of chips in animals, according to authors of the project, considerably facilitates work of the veterinarian as the volume of work with paper documents decreases.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Primorye Alexander Kostenko emphasized that digitalization of the veterinary industry and agro-industrial complex will provide some quality and safe agricultural products.^[1]
