Toy Store started Oracle Retail

In 2009 Toy Store Group which is engaged in trade in products for children in Russia completed implementation of the full-function information management system by retail network based on Oracle Retail in all shops. The new information management system provides with all assortment row which includes about 50 thousand names support of development of retail network in all regions and time zones.

According to the head of the Toy Store Group Maxim Entyakov, the Oracle Retail system is one of elements in creation of an effective operational model of retail business. Using this solution it is going to reduce time of deliveries in general not less than by 10%, to raise the indicator testimonial of existence of goods on the shelf on 15-20%, to increase return per square meter of the floor space by 10-20%. Continuation of the program of development of the company with toughening of requirements to efficiency of each office division and shop and also preserving of uniform standards in network which scale covers several time zones are inconceivable without use of a similar corporate information system today.

The project on creation of the unified information system integrating the main trade engines of retail network was initiated for the purpose of increase in efficiency of business processes. The project proceeded within two years.

According to the CIO of Toy Store Group Sergey Rogov, Oracle Retail allowed the company to build the system of the centralized operational management of all assortment row which includes about 50 thousand names, including a commodity remaining balance. Thinner and technological instrument of work with multiple pricing, on planning and management of marketing actions, formation of the various operational and analytical reporting according to the international standards is developed.

At different stages of implementation heads and specialists of Toy Store, foreign experts in Oracle Retail, consultants "Sitronics Information Technologies" entered into project team. On the basis of subsystems of Oracle Retail Merchandising System and Oracle Retail Price Management which became a core of the new platform of management of group the centralized system of accounting of the movement of goods, retail sales, control of deliveries and the analysis of results was created.

According to Duncan Engouv (Duncan Angove), the senior vice president and the general manager of division of Oracle Retail, products for children are a fast-growing segment of the market of retail, and investment into advanced technologies of management allows Toy Store to perform the strategic plans of growth and expansion and to quickly try to obtain positive economic effect. 2016: Migration with Oracle on SAP
