In "Transcapitalbank" the single all-banking system of cost management is constructed

JSB Transkapitalbank uses a complex BPM system on the basis of the data warehouse Circuit from Intersoft Lab company since 2008.

Start of the project

At the first stage of the project specialists of Intersoft Lab implemented the data warehouse (DW) Circuit of Corporation, having integrated it with the core banking system "New Athena". It provided daily unloading of accounting data from the core banking system of head bank and its branches in HD. As a result of these works in bank the uniform data warehouse consolidating data on activity of head bank and 15−ти branches was created.

Contractors of the project also provided transformation of the accounting data consolidated in HD, in registers of management accounting and algorithms of managerial adjustments, configured release of managerial reports. The project was executed for the benefit of two divisions of bank. The risk management service began to receive reports Financial result, "Analytical balance", Balance; financial department – "Managerial balance", "The budget of assets and liabilities" and Financial plan.
Thanks to implementation of the data warehouse, the manual same transactions necessary for data collection were excluded that reduced labor costs by preparation of the reporting for 40−70%.

The implemented project laid the foundation for a complex bank BPM system.

Project Continuation

In 2009 at head office and remote divisions of bank the BPM-application "The budget of household expenses" was implemented. The same year it was transferred to the mode of commercial operation.

JSB Transkapitalbank within a year performed commercial operation of the solution for cost management on the BPM platform. With its help the bank controlled execution of budgets of administrative expenses and analyzed actual costs.

Results of 2009 in BPM

The BPM-application "The budget of household expenses" allowed bank to automate a full stroke of budgeting of administrative expenses:

• input in the system of cost plans of divisions by articles of administrative expenses, * approval and payment of requests for payments,
• control and the analysis of budget implementation of bank using a reporting packet.

The project team executed implementation of a BPM-application, integrated it with the core banking system "New Athena" for data exchange about partners, the approved payments and payment, provided release of the analytical reporting under execution of budgets.

From the beginning of use of a new solution the bank could refuse a labor-intensive technology of budgeting on the basis of spreadsheets of Excel, make the most operational process of approval of requests for expenses, reduce the volume of "paper" document flow, expand possibilities of expense analysis in different analytical cuts.

Positive results of commercial operation of the BPM platform confirmed expediency of initial plans for distribution of technology of cost management on regional network. At the same time it was decided to perform replication of a system in branches independently, without involvement of specialists of Intersoft Lab company. Knowledge and experience received by employees of the bank during the joint project on implementation of the Budget of Household Expenses application at head office of bank and also the powerful opportunities put in a system – flexibility of interfaces, an open architecture, existence of detailed documentation became the main arguments for benefit of such solution.

Budgets

Today using the Transcapitalbank BPM platform keeps budgets on such expenses as lease of premises, purchase of office equipment, controls execution of budgets and analyzes expenditure of means. In 2009 these processes were automated using a BPM-application "The budget of household expenses" of version 3.1 which expanded functionality of a complex BPM system. As noted, a system relies on the data warehouse Circuit from Intersoft Lab.

Terms and economy

The set-up time of the reporting under administrative and capital costs of bank is minimized. Terms of approval of requests for payments it is reduced because of what payments are implemented quicker. Besides, system use of electronic document management cut down expenses on paper, mail transfer of documents.

The BPM solution for cost management is used at head office and in remote divisions of "Transcapitalbank". The new technology of expenditure management is going to be extended to bank branches that will allow to construct a single banking system of management of administrative expenses in the concept of BPM.
