A BI system will trace a consumption of energy resources in Transneft

By the end of 2014 of Transneftyenergo - the "subsidiary"of Transneft who is responsible for power supply of all its organizations expects to implement an information and analytical system of the power manager, follows from the project documentation published in April.

In the same place it is specified that it should be implemented as the system of a class of a business intelligence (Business Intelligence) on the basis of technology of the data warehouse (Data Warehouse), and jobs of users - on "thin client" technology with web access.

At the expense of a BI system the company is going to automate business processes of the service of energy efficiency, department of rates and the economic analysis and also the divisions using analysis results of deliveries and electricity consumption of Transneftyenergo, said in the project documentation.

With implementation of a BI system the staff of Transneftyenergo will cease to process manually data and to prepare analytical reports for control of energy resources

Such processes as monitoring and the analysis of execution of target indicators of energy efficiency of the enterprises of Transneft, monitoring and the analysis of consumption of fuel and energy resources by them (the electric power, motor fuel, boiler and oven fuel, purchased heat), monitoring of execution of the program of energy saving which approves annually by Board of Directors of Transneft, formation of budgets on the electric power, etc. will become a scope of a system.

In the project documentation it is noted that at the time of implementation these business processes are insufficiently structured that leads to a number of problems. For example, considerable time for obtaining complete and reliable information about consumption of fuel and energy resources is spent, and data processing and preparation of analytical reports is made manually that increases time and reduces data analysis "depth".

A BI system will have a possibility of loading of initial data from external IT systems, such as billing and office systems of the organizations and structural divisions.

Existence of a basis for further scaling and development is specified to some of requirements to it. In particular, in the future to it it is going to add such functions as creation of the register of offers on increase in energy efficiency, base of actions for results of energy audits, formation of the program of an energosberzheniye and some other.
