2021: Transfer 12 million customers to a billing system based on the SAP BRIM solution
On April 6, 2021, SAP CIS announced that Tricolor had switched to a billing solution based on the SAP BRIM solution (formerly SAP Hybrid Billing). The project was implemented by a team of Tricolor experts, SAP Services CIS specialists and an aFlex partner company. The migration of the 12 million customer base took place in stages and took about 2 days. The result of the implementation of the solution was a significant increase in the speed of setting new tariffs and services for customers.
The project developed simultaneously in two directions: starting and configuring the SAP BRIM system and preparing for a one-time migration of the customer base. In preparation for the migration, a test bench similar in performance to the real system was assembled, all processes were tested in detail during the year, speed and performance measurements were carried out. Then there was a migration of a 12 million customer base.
SAP BRIM includes three main subsystems. Product catalog - all tariffs and offers are started here, they are accumulated centrally in a single system. A charging engine is a high-performance subsystem that processes charging data at a high rate. As well as a subsystem based on SAP ERP - for reporting and integration with accounting systems - significantly increased the transparency of financial transactions.
The key result of the transition is a serious increase in the speed of customization of product offerings. Now the process, which previously spent several weeks, takes 1-2 days. Organically, they were inscribed in the billing system of services that Tricolor is actively developing as of April 2021, in particular, OTT services and video surveillance, said Alexey Rukavitsyn, director of information technology at Tricolor.

2017: Start of SAP Hybrid Billing Implementation Project
On March 2, 2017, SAP CIS and Tricolor TV announced the launch of a project to implement the SAP Hybrid Billing solution, which fully supports the automated billing process.
Project tasks
The strategic task of Tricolor TV is the development of multi-screen, non-linear television viewing. Tricolor TV plans to increase the speed of service delivery with SAP Hybrid Billing, optimizing internal billing processes.
In addition, it is planned to improve the quality of service to subscribers by providing extended advice on the services provided and transactions carried out. The status of the account and the services consumed will be displayed on time through all channels of interaction with the audience. SAP will support prepaid, post-paid, hybrid models to monitor customer accounts in real time and improve service quality by enabling subscribers to control their costs.
