2024: Software acquisition by Russian vendor BFG Group
Tsinghua University has acquired the BFG IT platform to train manufacturing professionals. The solution allows future technologists and enterprise managers to model and optimize production processes based on a digital twin, without leaving the plant. Four main platform modules were delivered to Tsinghua - BFG iMRP for volumetric-calendar modeling of production, BFG Simulation for predictive modeling, BFG APS for building an optimal post-operational production plan and BFG iMES for dispatching production. This was announced on November 10, 2024 by the BFG Group.
According to the company, the university was also provided with five virtual models of typical factories - for the production of LED panels, cars, textiles, cutting tools and tower cranes. With BFG solutions, students learn how enterprises operate on the basis of a digital twin and model different scenarios for their development. For example, students may be tasked with increasing plant productivity by 20% with a limited budget. The BFG platform allows you to consider several solutions and choose the best one, for example, to ensure growth by outsourcing the manufacture of part parts, introducing additional work shifts, buying equipment or hiring additional employees.
Carila Tech has become a strategic partner of BFG Group in China. The Chinese distributor received the right to sell and integrate products under the BFG brand in the Celestial Empire, as well as the development of BFG Group in white label format. Carila Tech employees were trained by BFG specialists, took part in localizing the product of the Russian vendor for the Chinese market and implemented a joint project with the vendor to test deploy the platform on their own servers.
Tsinghua University became the first commercial user of the solution in the Celestial Empire. In September 2024, BFG transferred the license to the university, then, together with a local partner, provided a platform integration service, which took place in several stages. First, the system was assembled in Russia at the vendor's facilities. The next stage, the BFG developers handed over its virtual cast to Chinese users. After hosting on their own servers, the university was provided with activation keys. For December, the platform is actively used in the educational process of Tsinghua University. Like other users of the system, the university will receive all platform updates.

= Valery Evsyagin told, CEO of BFG Group' The contract with the largest Chinese university is a good start in business in the large and promising market for domestic IT companies in the Middle Kingdom. Having graduated from the institute, young specialists prefer to work on the usual for ON themselves. We hope that Tsinghua students will soon become our ambassadors. In addition, I see a number of fundamental
prerequisites that make our product in demand in China. The country has a state program to abandon Western software until 2027. As part of this program, local companies are switching to Chinese software or solutions of "friendly" countries to which Russia belongs. In addition, as of December 2024, China is experiencing a decline in the economy, expressed primarily in a decrease in export volumes. During such a period, companies traditionally pay attention to improving operational efficiency of production and cost savings.}}
