The Technoserv company, the Russian system integrator, announces contract signature on "turnkey" accomplishment of the project on installation and putting into operation of turboexpander installations at the Syr Darya and Talimardzhansky thermal power plants (TPP) for the purpose of increase in energy efficiency of the enterprises.
Contracts are signed on the basis of results of the tenders organized by the state joint stock company "Uzbekenergo" which part both thermal power plants are. Within the project Technoserv will perform works on delivery, supervision of erection and a commissioning of three detander-generator units for the Syr Darya thermal power plant and one – for Talimardzhansky thermal power plant and also the integrator will provide personnel training of power plants on operation of the equipment. The turbine generator, the heat exchanger and an automatic control system also are a part of each of deliverable turboexpander installations based on detander-generating DGA-5000 units with a total power over 20 MW.
The total cost of the supplied equipment and works on contracts is $10.88 million. Financing of these contracts is performed at the expense of a fund of reconstruction and development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In total for implementation of the investment project "Installation of Detander-generators on the Syr Darya and Talimardzhansky Thermal Power Plant" it is going to spend $14.7 million. Investing in upgrade of production, Uzbekenergo increases efficiency of productive activity of the enterprises. It is reached as due to receiving in addition to 140 million kWh of the electric power a year, and due to decrease in cost value of the developed electric power twice.
"When implementing projects for the companies of fuel and energy complex Technoserv places emphasis on modern energy efficient solutions which not only increase efficiency and revenues of the enterprises, but also correspond to the Kyoto Protocol regarding need of decrease in ecological impact of power production on the environment, – Teyub Kafarov, the Director of the department of work with the Asian Republics told. – The solution delivered within the project is complex, including as the main, and auxiliary systems ensuring long, reliable and effective functioning".
Turboexpander installation – the power station used at gas distribution stations for receiving the electric power due to potential energy of expansion of a compressed natural gas in main gas pipelines which in case of lack of turboexpander installation is lost when lowering excessive pressure of gas at branch it from the trunk.
