IBS Platformix constructed data center for UEC Perm Motors

2020: Project on construction of DPC

System integrator IBS Platformix completed the complex project constructions data center for "UEC - Perm Motors". All is already consolidated in DPC IT infrastructure of the plant, and its start served as the beginning for program implementation of digitalization of all enterprise. The data center ensures functioning of information systems and IT services of the enterprise, including production automated workplaces, management systems for lifecycle, the workflow system, video surveillance systems and access control, the IP telephony and e-mail. Along with traditional information systems, in data center it is going to place the IT solutions directed to digitalization "to UEC - Perm Motors": automated information system Manager, corporate system of management of deviations, system of intra shop planning.

"We determined major problems by digital transformation of the enterprise which will help Perm Motors to develop the potential. It is impossible to forget also about classical tasks of IT which both were, and remain. All information systems – both old and new – should function uninterruptedly therefore the plant needs failsafe infrastructure of data center taking into account development perspectives. "Infrastructure of DPC and the platform where it is located, should have the high level of fault tolerance of all key systems ensuring functioning of the computing equipment. For DPC technology difficult and reliable solutions considering and excluding potential negative external impact for its work are selected. For example, electric power supply systems and conditioning of data center have double reservation in all respects. Thanks to professionalism of an IT command of Perm Motors the project is implemented in full accordance with the works schedule, the data center is successfully brought into commercial operation", – Evgeny Knekov, the head of group on the IC IBS Platformix reported.

The IBS Platformix system integrator performed all construction works including dismantling of internal constructions of the building and the equipment which is in it, created all engineering systems of data center, consolidated the operating IT infrastructure of the enterprise from several premises and executed migration of IT services.

Migration of the equipment and services was executed within three days and considered all requirements to business continuity and an operation mode of critical services. The short term selected for migration is caused by the serious preparation including the tests, pilot transfers and actions directed to protection of integrity of data. All project was executed within six months, told in IBS Platformix.

For the organization of engineering infrastructure the following systems were unrolled:

• structured cabling system;
• power supply system;
• cooling system and ventilation;
• gas fire extinguishing;
• system of security video surveillance;
• alarm system;
• control and management system for access;
• monitoring system and schedulings.

Engineering infrastructure is based on solutions of Huawei. The project provides maintenance within five years. The data center is located to Perm.
