US Navy buys software and Oracle services for $379 million

In July, 2018 large purchase of products of Oracle by the American Navies knew. Order cost for a period of five years is up to $379 million.

Naval Forces and marines of the USA purchase software licenses and Oracle services and also technical support services. As the system integrator in this project the DLT Solutions company will act, transfers the CRN edition.

US Navy is bought by software and Oracle services for $379 million

According to the senior vice president of DLT Solutions Keith Barnes, the company having the "platinum" status in a partner network of Oracle within five years cooperated with division of Naval Forces on licensing of corporate software (  Department of the Navy Enterprise Software Licensing, DON ESL), fulfilling the requirements of department regarding providing "exact information and the strict financial responsibility and guaranteeing lack of leak of contracts". DLT Solutions will continue to provide software licenses of Oracle, to service software products and to render technical support.

Under the terms of the agreement, US Navy can buy the software of Oracle on in advance resolutive conditions at the fixed prices. DLT Solutions will offer a centralized system of orders which will provide "higher transparency and control over purchases of software".

Using this contract, clients from the Navies will be able to purchase Oracle services which provide unlimited data exchange for all authorized users, says DLT Solutions.

By July, 2018 DLT Solutions cooperates with Oracle more than 27 years. The share of sales of products of vendor in structure of revenue of integrator is not specified, however it is known that about 95% of turnover are the share of implementation of the software and only 5% — of the equipment. Annual revenues of DLT Solutions exceed $1 billion^[1]
