Optima completed the project on creation of the centralized complex of antiabnormal automatic equipment of communications of the southern part of an integrated electrical power system of Ukraine. The complex covers the Dnieper, Crimean and Southern power supply systems. The project was custom-made the national energy company "Ukrenergo" less than in two years. Its cost was 700 million rubles.
"Need of protection of trunk power grids of the Zaporizhia, Kherson, Nikolaev regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was caused not only danger of violation of their normal work in case of overloads, but also the probability of emergence of more considerable accidents leading to destruction of all network. Similar accident, for example, occurred in the USA and Canada in 2003 as a result of which several states and provinces appeared without the electric power" Zharkin Valery Fedorovich, the technical director of Optima Group noted.
Works were carried out in direct interaction with specialists of NEK "Ukrenergo" that allowed to develop the optimal concept of functioning and to precisely create technical requirements to a complex. On the basis of these documents the project was executed. According to the project the equipment was manufactured, bench tests of the equipment in Vienna (Austria) at the Siemens plant and in Kiev which visually showed working capacity, both concepts of the created complex, and advantage of the technical means offered as principal components are carried out. At the subsequent stages of project implementation installation and equipment checkout on tens substations and three power plants, including communication systems and monitoring necessary for stable work of a complex were executed. Also, personnel training of the customer was provided that allows to perform the further qualified operation of a complex.
"The project is difficult and interesting by both technical aspect, and organizational as it was necessary to interact with the companies from several countries, – the project manager Romanenko Sergey noted. – So, the customer and the main subcontractors are the Ukrainian organizations, equipment suppliers – the companies from Austria, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development thanks to what, by the way, despite crisis, all works were performed in time financed the project".
