Inline Technologies provided monitoring of technology information systems of JSC OEK

INLINE Technologies completed in 2015 the project on creation of a uniform complex of control facilities and management of technology information systems in United Energy Company (JSC OEK). Increase in efficiency of the information and technology infrastructure (ITI) and also ensuring constant control of quality of functioning of technology information systems was the purpose of creation of a system.

The supervisory center and managements of the communication service of JSC OEK felt the need for the uniform instrument of monitoring of diverse information and technology infrastructure. The being available separate monitoring systems covered only a part of components and did not provide an overall picture of a status of ITI. At the same time tracking and accounting of violations and accidents were carried out manually.

In the uniform complex of control facilities created by INLINE Technologies and managements of technology information systems (EKSKU) these tasks are solved due to consolidation of different monitors in a single system, its integration with the centralized base of the equipment and processing system of violations. Processes of interaction in divisions at failure handling were automated, tools for creation of the operational and analytical reporting are created. Thus, use of EKSKU allows JSC OEK to support smooth functioning of all elements of technology information infrastructure, to considerably simplify and accelerate procedures of identification of the prime causes of accidents, localization and failure handling in communication networks and ITI and also to improve information exchange between the divisions which are responsible for operation of ITI.

Technical capabilities of a uniform complex give the chance to the person on duty to perform the round-the-clock monitoring of the ITI components on areas of responsibility of different operational services (communication, an APCS and TM, ASDU TsUS). Thanks to functionality of EKSKU control over the telemechanics equipment using data of IEC protocol 60870-5-104 is implemented and also complex tracking of a status of the server hardware of an automated system of technology management, the SDH and IP data networks is adjusted.

As a result of project implementation the company received the uniform instrument of control over automated systems of technology management and information and technology infrastructure of JSC OEK. It allowed to increase performance, fault tolerance and efficiency of communication systems and technology management of the company. Besides, use of EKSKU allowed to improve mechanisms of prevention of technology violations and to reduce time for their elimination. In general we calculate that at the expense of new opportunities which are given by this system we will be able to perform at qualitatively new level works on operation and also actions for development and improvement of technology infrastructure of JSC OEK Andrey Evlentyev, head of department of development of ASU, TM and communication of JSC OEK
