In April, 2015 system implementation of EME.WMS 4.0 in a warehouse of Branch of the Joint Rocket Space Corporation (JRSC) - Scientific Research Institute KP was complete.
Now one of warehouses – radio-electronic components and chips for spacecrafts and communication systems is automated. Despite the small area of a warehouse in it more than 10000 goods items are located.
Low speed of a complete set of orders and considerable number of errors were the main problems to system implementation. It is explained by the small sizes of the same komponentn and impossibility to remember component placement by employees. Using implementation of barcoding, use of the shipping documentation and the EME.WMS system all these problems managed to be solved.
Start of a system took place in two stages:
- the first - directly system implementation in a warehouse;
- the second – setup and start of the module of the WEB INTERFACE (the portal of orders) for convenient creation and editing requests for a complete set. Now orders can be created directly in divisions of developers and to receive them in a warehouse already completely collected. On web the portal the status of assembly of each order is visible. All this considerably simplifies and accelerates work of employees.
Work in a warehouse is conducted using the shipping documentation Datalogic Skorpio X3 and the label Intermec printer.
At the moment there is an approval of expansion of this system for installation for production. It will be used for accounting of component parts and components in scientific-industrial complexes.
