Universal food technologies (1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0)

In 2008 the management of the enterprise initiated search of software provider for automation of a warehouse complex under construction. The automation system had to meet the most modern functional requirements and, at the same time, be characterized by reasonable project cost in general. The offered AXELOT of service in development and deployment of a system based on the drawing software product "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" were an optimal solution for the enterprise.

The area of a new warehouse of class "A" – 7500 sq.m., in the nomenclature list is about 6500 positions among which 1500 active, storage of goods is made in pallet racks. Implementation of an automated system was intended to provide the high accuracy of selection of goods with expiration dates, to organize lot-based accounting, to increase the speed of execution of operations and to reduce dependence on personnel. The project team of the Contractor was represented by the consultant for a system, the programmer and the project manager. From the Customer general and commercial directors, the deputy finance director and the head of information technology participated. During the project the scheme of use of a system on the basis of the principles of work of a warehouse was developed, integration with a corporate information system of the Customer at the 1C: Enterprise platform is made, user training is provided, work instructions are prepared and start of a warehouse system in operation is performed.

During project works transactions of acceptance, marking, placement, selection, reservation of goods behind the order in storage locations, control of selection and packaging in loads, shipments, internal transfer, feed, inventory, quality check and change of the owner are automated. In a system lot-based account, accounting on the FIFO models, accounting on the owner and expiration dates of goods are kept. Both whole, and fractional units of storage are considered.

"Universal food technologies" are among clients the retail networks imposing special requirements to expiration dates of the delivered goods. Accomplishment of regulations of interaction of suppliers with global retail chain stores – one of the key factors causing need of operation of a modern warehouse complex under control of WMS. Selection of goods for each of networks is organized according to contractual commitments on compliance of food to terms of their validity.

In a project deliverable of automation of a warehouse of Universal Food Technologies company using "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" the staff of loaders of the enterprise was twice cut down; execution of operations of selection and inventory happens to high speed; data on a remaining balance are traced in real time. In a warehouse 8 stationary jobs, from them 2 places of the operator are automated, 15 radio data collection terminals are connected. The Universal Food Technologies company is satisfied with project deliverables and cooperation with AXELOT in general.
