Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development uses RuTerminal for over-the-counter trading

2023: Joining the RuTerminal platform

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development has joined the information and trade terminal to conclude over-the-counter transactions RuTerminal. This was announced on May 23, 2023 by SoftWelll.

The platform gives access to online quotations of the Russian and global interbank money markets, allows you to negotiate with other participants, interact with brokers connected to RuTerminal. The functionality and interface of RuTerminal are similar to the Bloomberg terminal, access to which has been closed to Russian financial institutions since April 2022.

RuTerminal gives users the ability to transact with various products - conversions (including NDFs), swaps, deposits, paper and repo purchases, interest rate swaps. Participants can publish their own prices, assess the value of transactions and portfolios, including PFI, maintain online positions with the possibility of revaluation and building a payment calendar. Information on transactions and quotations is available to the back offices of participants using industrial integration methods, FIX and FpML.

After Bloomberg closed access to its terminals for Russian banks, we began to study domestic solutions with similar capabilities. The RuTerminal system approached us: with its help we receive all the necessary information about financial instruments in real time, make trade transactions and can communicate with other market participants. It is important for us that this is completely Russian software. This allows us to smoothly conduct business processes during the turbulence of the IT market, ― commented Vladimir Zotov, Operating Director of the Treasury of the Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In RuTerminal, you can create additional desktops, customize them for yourself, adding various widgets and creating a comfortable working environment for the trader.

The platform has a convenient messaging system. It allows you to conduct personal and group negotiations with other participants, agreeing on the terms of transactions. For many traders who have previously used Bloomberg for such purposes, this is one of the key functions of the solution.

RuTerminal has access to Interfax and Kommersant news feeds, there are various calculators and all the necessary information about financial instruments. The terminal is located in a protected cloud in Russia.

Using our system, banks have the opportunity to analyze data on the state of the market, publish their prices, conclude transactions through brokers, communicate with them in the usual format and in a safe environment. We have functionality and products available that are not available in other similar solutions, such as interest rate swaps. RuTerminal is already used for over-the-counter trading by all major banks in Russia, brokers and even the Moscow Exchange, ― said Anatoly Karpov, CEO of SoftWell.
