"Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development" implemented a backup system

On June 8, 2015 the HOST group announced project completion of system implementation of backup by request of Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Growth of infrastructure of bank resulted in impossibility of use of the operating restoration system of a large number of information systems and applications, as well as their fast recovery.

For receiving the help in permission of current situation invited HOST company.

After detailed audit specialists of HOST Group offered bank several options of backup systems. Analyzing a price/quality ratio, UBRIR selected the solution on the basis of Symantec NetBackup.

Project Progress

The single system was implemented on three geographically distributed platforms: two main and one archive, used as a resource of long storage. For June 8, 2015 in the main DPCs of bank are reserved, both key information systems, and data from backup copies.

For ensuring data protection about holders of payment cards according to the PCI DSS standard the contractor created the separate domain which data are reserved and ciphered. Access keys only at the administrator of SRK of a segment of PCI DSS.

Project Results

"We created a reliable backup system with a possibility of further development and scaling. Modern Symantec NetBackup technologies allowed to make the most efficient use of the available resources, to set and control the speed of recovery and cost of data storage. Despite existence of a large number of various operating systems and applications, the backup system easily is administered and controlled", - Vlad Alekseev, the commercial director of HOST Group told.
