Implementation of UserGate UTM in URGUPS is complete

The Entensys company announced the implementing solution UserGate UTM in IT infrastructure of the Ural State University of Means of communication (URGUPS). In URGUPS the Internet channel with capacity of 1 Gbit / c providing simultaneous connection more than 3000 users is used.

Connection of such number of users and also existence in internal network of important information, does necessary use of the complex means of protecting capable to provide access control of employees and teachers in the Internet, traffic filtering and many other safety features.

Since 2016 the university for the solution of these tasks will use UserGate UTM. According to the head of department of automation of URGUPS Alexey Polozhentsev, in a product attracted its such qualities as Russian origins, quality of content filtering and reasonable price policy.

UsreGate UTM officially was released on April 6, 2016, URGUPS became one of the first users who tested a product on real network and this traffic. For 2016 the product was finished in respect of stability of work and the general expansion of functionality. According to Alexander Saltynsky, the system administrator of URGUPS, the solution of Entensys company can be considered a good way of solving the task of filtering of Internet traffic at the university.
