2025: S&OP move to Optimacros platform

OKHK Uralchem JSC has completed a project to transfer the medium-term sales and operations planning (S&OP) system to the domestic Optimakros platform. Migration work was carried out by specialists of the ATOMS Consulting consulting company, which announced this on February 11, 2025.

One of the planning systems Uralchem, which was used, ceased to meet management requirements for several parameters. In this regard, it was decided to switch to another software product. There were rather strict requirements for alternative developments, in particular:

  • the solution should be completely domestic;
  • mandatory focus on big business;
  • using the concept of self-service or low-code so that the customer can independently support and develop the system in the future;
  • ensuring the possibility of prompt revision and adjustment of the scenarios of the sales plan and operations for such a large company as Uralchem.

One of the key requirements was the ability to solve optimization problems at the intersection of business functions.

The algorithms implemented in Optimacros ensure the formation of optimal and integrated sales, production and shipment plans, taking into account existing prerequisites and restrictions, with monthly and daily details. Internal algorithms allow you to adequately assess the feasibility of the plan according to a given set of parameters, including based on the availability of transport, the capacity of packaging machines and the possibility of shipment from the warehouse.

As a result of the project implementation, the units for planning and monitoring the execution of the shipment and sales plan and the formation of a material balance were transferred to the system.

As of February 2025, the system accumulates more than 18 thousand indicators and over 1,500 forms. More than 80 integration flows both incoming and outgoing from the system are also automated.

Six plants are involved in the planning process, the main divisions of the sites are the production and technical department, the production economics department, and commercial blocks. In addition, employees of trading houses, logicians, analysts, financiers of the management company are involved in the process. Actual data comes from accounting systems - 1C, Navigator, MES. The number of users of the system is 115 people.
