VTB passes to a single telecommunication network of Rostelecom

2020: Plans of creation a telecom of network for nearly 1,700 departments

"Rostelecom" will create a single telecommunication network for nearly 1,700 departments VTB through the whole country. The bank reported about it on September 7, 2020. In particular, the operator will provide to divisions bank the main and reserve channels communications with data processing centers and also will provide enciphering using the certified means cryptographic data protection.

Rostelecom as the strategic partner of VTB will take part in project implementation on upgrade of a system of communication channels for offices of VTB through the whole country. Their structure will as a result be reversed: offices will be directly connected to data processing centers, for each communication channel the reserve will be created that will allow to increase stability of a system. Capacity of communication channels on average will increase up to two times, information transmission rate will increase — the deputy president-chairman of the board of VTB Vadim Kulik told.

The project is implemented within the program for reliability augmentation and availability of services of VTB which was started by bank in 2019.
