Yugramegasport used the biometric system of face recognition on the Biathlon World Cup

On March 22, 2016 the Vokord company announced use of a remote biometric system of face recognition of Vocord FaceControl in security of the final World Cup stage in biathlon in Yugra^[1].

Project Task

In 2016 athletes and representatives of the national teams from 27 countries participated in competitions, the number of fans from around the world exceeded three thousand. Security of participants and guests of a large-scale international action was considered as the major task by all authorized organizations of Khanty-Mansiysk.

Implementation of a biometric system of noncooperative face recognition of Vocord Facecontrol became one of tools for its solution.

Project Progress

The Vokord company developed a system for control in places of mass pass of people to sports an object. The necessary equipment is installed on inputs in hotel complexes where participants of competitions and fans accommodated.

Project Results

A system did not create problems for pass of people on objects as cameras of face recognition it is imperceptible for visitors controlled inputs in the Center and passes of fans on stands.

The complex of recognition Vocord Facecontrol is capable to function almost independently thanks to what especially for these competitions additional jobs of operators were created.

Within the specific action the base of photos of law-enforcement bodies was used.
