VimpelCom created infrastructure and upgraded security systems of object economy

On April 15, 2015 it became known of project implementation of creation of complex infrastructure and security systems by request of VimpelCom. The contractor in the project the Asteros group.

Project Tasks

The customer selected the Asteros group as the general contractor on design and implementation of an end-to-end system of automatic gas fire fighting, the fire warning and the notification at the fire on objects of VimpelCom, including the base stations, data processing centers, server premises and other technical objects located in 52 cities of Russia.

For this reason we impose strict requirements to ensuring failsafe work of all objects of communication, including, and in extreme climatic conditions. In it we see the social mission of operator, existence of stable mobile communication increases quality of life and creates premises for economic development of territories".

According to terms of the contract, on all project works no more than 11 months were allotted. During this time the command of Asteros should improve the operating security system, to increase the level of protection of the objects entering a project circuit taking into account specifics of functioning and geographic location of each of them.

As a basis for technical solution the equipment of the Russian production is used. Equipment suppliers – the Russian enterprises: NPU "Fire Automatic Equipment Service", TD "POZh-TEHNIKA" and also Bolid company.

Project Progress

"Considering criticality level, we aimed at accomplishment of all amount of works in time, making use of all the experience in management of geographically distributed projects, – Victor Korolko, the associate director on complex security, the Asteros group told. – During the peak periods of loading on the project about 60 specialists taking into account the staff of subcontract organizations worked at places. Certain difficulties created remoteness of objects from the main routes and weather factors: on Sakhalin and in Yekaterinburg climatic conditions were so difficult that the command had to wait for several days until the elements cease, and it is possible to continue works on objects. Despite everything projects in these cities were complete in the shortest possible time".

During the first stage works were performed in 26 cities of Russia.

All stages on design, delivery, construction and to commissioning are executed in time.
