Implementation of ERP from SAP in Ware of the Center promotes increase in capitalization of the company

The network of retail stores "Ware Center" and consulting company Ciber completed the project on SAP implementation of for Retail using the set-up solution Rapid Retail, the company contractor reported on March 5, 2013.

Objectives

"Our company carries out active regional expansion, – Igor Vasyukov, the chief executive of Ware Center company tells. – Assortment management and merchandising of the growing number of shops requires more ordered group structure. We cannot manage matrixes of each shop separately any more and are forced to group analytics in indicators of favor, area, competitive environment, a goods turnover, etc. In systems in which we worked earlier there were no such analytical tools that deprived of us an opportunity to make operational management decisions in the conditions of the changing market situation. The strategic plan of development of the company assumed implementation of a reliable ERP system which could support growth of our business and promote increase in capitalization of the company and its investment attractiveness".

The customer made a choice for benefit of the SAP solution for Retail. Among the factors which influenced the choice the huge functionality of a system, a possibility of step-by-step implementation of necessary blocks and scalability of a system became decisive.

At the beginning of the project

Before the project the customer carried out a preparatory stage within which business processes of purchasing department are re-structured. In particular, the assortment policy, merchandising, pricing policy, wholesale and selection process of suppliers are optimized. It paved the way for introduction of a new information system.

Implementing solution continued from March to September, 2012. In addition to system implementation, specialists of the contractor needed to carry out solution integration with the large volume of the information systems which are already used in the company. As a result the retail network "Ware Center" received the powerful instrument of comprehensive data analysis for effective management of goods flows and the reliable base for further development.

"Feature of the project in retail chain stores Ware of the Center was the fact that offices of the company are on considerable removal from Moscow and St. Petersburg, – Alexander Niznik, the CEO of Ciber company says. – Successfully implementing this project, we once again proved that we can perform at the high level work in any point of Russia, and its quality does not depend on degree of remoteness of location of the client from our offices. I want to note also that the project success was promoted by the help and aiming at result of an internal team of the customer".

As of March 5, 2013 in a system 50 employees of retail chain stores work.

"At the moment the solution is found at a stage of trial operation, and to speak about some significant results so far early, – Igor Vasyukov noted. – Nevertheless, already now we note a number of the got advantages: the management system for master data is standardized, process of the order of goods is improved, there was a possibility of computer-aided planning and order placement, centralized operation by the range and pricing, stability of a system in general is increased".
