MegaFon will connect secure channels of communication offices of the West Siberian bank of Sberbank

The MegaFon company became one of winners of an open competition on the organization of the protected VPN network (Virtual Private Network is a virtual private network) for the West Siberian bank of Sberbank. The VPN technology from MegaFon will provide for the staff of divisions of Sberbank in KhMAO safe and confidential exchange of the service information online.

According to terms of the contract, MegaFon will provide for the West Siberian bank of Sberbank of 28 secure channels of communication which will connect the corresponding number of offices of the organization in such cities as: Tyumen, Noyabrsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Salekhard, Yugorsk, Tarko-Sal, Nefteyugansk, Beloyarsk, Soviet, Izluchinsk, Iridescent, Uraj and also in the urban-type settlements of Urengoy, Priobye, Pioneer, October. The contract worth over 34 million rubles is signed for a period of three years.

For operational accomplishment of tender conditions of the new client specialists of MegaFon use the operating fiber-optical network (fiber-optic communication line) and also implement the customer's task using wireless technologies - broad-band data transmission (BShPD) and WiMax. The organization of communication hubs will be organized by the principle "star" (hub & spoke) – thus, data exchange between offices will be performed through the central point of VPN in Tyumen.
