What means protected Minpromtorg from threats of information security

On December 4, 2015 the press service of Minpromtorg announced completion of works on system implementation of information security support. Took part Department of information technologies and public relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation together with integrator of IT solutions in an implementation project Telecom-Guard company.

Project Results

Sergey Valuyev, the director of the department of information technologies and public relations of Minpromtorg, noted:

- Creation of the modern protected unified information system of Minpromtorg – a necessary and timely step in the conditions of growth of number of cyberthreats. The new hardware and software system will allow to provide the protected and smooth functioning of all IT systems of the ministry and to increase quality of electronic interdepartmental interaction.

As a result of the performed works the modern, effective hardware and software system which part the technical means of information security support certified according to requirements were is created FSTEC Russia. According to project participants, the hardware and software system will provide reliable protection of IT systems Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia against threats of information security.

In structure an information security system several technology subsystems work:

• protection against unauthorized access;
• protection of the environment of virtualization;
• cryptographic information protection;
• firewalling and detection of invasions (including in the environment of virtualization);
• collecting and correlation of events of information security.

The security tool of information was subjected to evaluation tests according to the results of which the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation received the certificate about compliance of automated information system to the requirements of information security set to FSTEC of Russia. Besides, IT infrastructure of the ministry is prepared for evaluation tests of other automated information systems during the period from 2016 to 2017.
