Wireless network for SCA Packaging company

The Jupiter company completed the works on deployment of a wireless network of data transmission (Wi-Fi) in the handling zone SCA Packaging, leading manufacturer of packaging. Project implementation provided an opportunity to trace online information on the course of shipping works.

The integrator was faced by a task to provide a sure covering of Wi-fi of the warehouse with total area ~ 5200 sq.m. The complexity of the project was that the premises represent the platform of hangar type without the central support and internal walls where completely there is no heating.

For implementation of an assigned task the equipment Cisco was selected. The controller of a wireless network of Cisco Wireless LAN Controller 2106 was taken as a basis.

Considering features of the premises, a wireless system is constructed using the Cisco WLC 2106 controller and six access points of Cisco Aironet AIR-AP-1252-N-K9 with the omni-directional antennas Cisco Aironet AIR-ANT2440NV-R. Installation of access points was made to special hermetic boxes. The shielded twisted pair of category 5e was brought to boxes using germovvod.

The implemented solution allowed to accelerate significantly handling works and excluded need of presence of the coordinator for a life-threatening loading zone. Use of the omni-directional antennas Cisco Aironet AIR-ANT2440NV-R provided a covering of all room space with a sure signal with lack of dead bands.

Use of access points of Cisco Aironet AIR-AP-1252-N-K9 with support of the high-speed standard of data transmission on a wireless network 802.11n will allow to integrate in the future into already existing Wi-Fi infrastructure new services, such as IP telephony and IP video surveillance without the need for installation of additional wires.

The controller of a wireless local area network of Cisco WLC 2106, supporting all fundamental standards of security, provides permanent and reliable data protection. Being a component of solutions of the unified wireless networks of Cisco, the Cisco WLC 2106 controller is easily integrated with management systems for wireless communication (Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS), access points, wireless bridges and products for control from Cisco company.

As a result of project implementation the SCA Packaging Russia company received the modern, safe, scalable wireless solution based on wireless Cisco technologies which provided necessary flexibility and increased efficiency.

The implementation methodology of information systems of Jupiter company conforms to the quality standard shown to partners of Cisco Premier Partner as provided successful project implementation.
