X5 Retail Group (Schneider Electric Smart Board)

The retailer Retail Group X5 company has quite extensive network from about 4500 shops and about 2000 from them are already included in network in which permanent monitoring of energy consumption is conducted. As the head of this project Andrey Grabovsky told, the initial analysis showed that the Russian shops consume 30-40% more electric power, than their foreign analogs. Besides, it turned out that it is not even so simple to organize monitoring of energy consumption in such big retail network as in legacy economy 270 types of counters are used. And the management business demanded from power engineering specialists of implementation only of those energy-saving technologies which pay off no more than in two years. The project in cooperation with Schneider Electric using a power distribution system Smart Board, already bore certain fruits: LED lamps, motion sensors, the systems of remote forced shutdown of lighting are installed, monitoring of operation of refrigerating appliances is conducted, the monitoring system and the analysis of energy consumption which allows to define specific energy consumption counting on 1 ruble of revenue of shop or on 1 sq.m of its area is adjusted. Moreover - services of monitoring of electricity consumption, operation of the refrigerating and lighting equipment are offered retail networks on the basis of SLA. Now in plans - connection to the system of all remained shops, and further creation of a single system of monitoring of higher level.
