Since January 1, 2006 in Moscow began the activity of Yamaha Motor CIS (Yamaha the Motor of the CIS) – the Russian representative office of world famous company Yamaha Motor Company. The enterprise is dealer network of parent organization from 100% the Japanese capital which can be transformed further to affiliated firm. Opening of the company took place in Russia within a general rate on expansion of presence of Yamaha in four large countries integrated by an abbreviation of BRIC – Brazil, Russia, India and China. The Yamaha Motor company of the CIS began to perform sales in Russia of motorcycles, snowmobiles, boat motors, ATVs and other products through the network including 84 companies dealers. In the next several years the parent organization is going to double sales volume through the Russian representative office, based on the predicted increase in demand for the made products.
Dynamics of development of representation assumed immediate formalization of business processes with the accompanying implementation of the complex, step by step put into operation, information system created taking into account specifics of activity in the Russian market.
The project of automation of a warehouse complex of the Russian representative office had several specific features. First, problem definition was made by parent organization which step by step and rather strictly controlled all stages of the project: each document created during the project was translated and went to Japan to approval. Secondly, before implementation of the information system Yamaha Motor CIS did not conduct a business activity, respectively, business processes were not accurately structured. Thus, in project risks, also the fact that in some situations it is necessary to be engaged in automation of a number of business processes of a warehouse almost "by feel" was put, using analytical data and practices of the previous projects of AXELOT, and finally to record the unevident moments already upon termination of an implementation stage. In other words, project participants understood clearly that in the mode of maintenance it is necessary to make a number of completions on the business processes which settled in practice.
In June, 2005 the project during which two systems "1C Logistics were developed and implemented at once was begun: Management of a warehouse" and 1C: Trade Management was also organized close connection between them.
Products which are stored in a warehouse of the Russian representative office are separated into three main commodity groups (finished goods, spare parts and accessories) and in total 60,000 names include. Differences in transportation methods, overall dimensions and features of goods of different groups resulted in need to use different methods of barcoding, selection, placement and accounting for each of groups. So, for example, some of their requirements of the enterprise there was an implementation of piece selection of accessories.
Between the systems "1C: Trade Management 8.0" and "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" data exchange in the XML format is organized that allows to create automatically documents during the work about a stroke - the coded goods: data on goods are unloaded in the system of operational accounting and used for creation of issue documents.
Using the accounting system and management of a warehouse developed by specialists of AXELOT in the warehouse Yamaha Motor CIS 5 basic warehouse processes are performed: acceptance, placement, selection, shipment, inventory. During goods acceptance control of regrading, excesses and shortages is exercised, there is also a transfer of barcodes to a system. When scanning there is a possibility of obtaining the complete information about goods from a barcode and also about the status of goods in a warehouse: it is accepted, it is stored, it is selected, shipped.
Due to the features of the loads arriving on the warehouse Yamaha Motor CIS manual placement of goods with a possibility of the choice of a cell is used that is more convenient for this warehouse. The optimal scheme of selection from goods storage locations, allowing is also implemented, including, to select the necessary goods irrespective of a barcode according to the solution of the warehouse worker.
In a warehouse account of a remaining balance of goods by serial numbers, a pallet and numbers SCD is kept. Also the defective goods which are placed separately in storage locations specially allotted for this purpose according to the instruction, to the arriving warehouse worker on a data collection terminal are considered.
The project of automation of a warehouse was fully completed on June 1, 2006, the changes connected with the features revealed in the course of work, in particular, on the scheme of scanning of barcodes, placement and selection of goods were made. During the project 7 jobs are automated, in a warehouse 3 data collection terminals are used.
"In Japan it is accepted to look narrowly long enough at potential partners then to begin long-term cooperation. In our opinion, AXELOT is one of the most perspective Russian companies in the field of automation, experience and which qualification of employees correspond to our strategy in information technology development of representation now. The important role in it was played by modern project technology on which AXELOT is certified according to international quality standards", – mister Akimoto Atsusi, the vice president of Yamaha Motor CIS company notes.
