Yota Devices uses a cloud of IT-Grad

On October 4, 2016 it became known of transfer of Yota Devices company in a cloud of IT-Grad.

Project Tasks

Yota Devices was faced by a task to provide fault tolerance and the round-the-clock availability of services that is important in the presence of the clients who are in different time zones. Besides need to resolve technical issues and to start services in short terms became priority.

Project Progress

The services requiring the high level of availability and fault tolerance required use of a cloud in the IaaS model. Having analyzed technical capabilities of cloud platforms of the competing suppliers, stopped on IT-Grad. On the platform of hosting provider deployed the technological services and services of aftersales service of products.

"When we only started development of own service of updates, our resources were strongly limited. We deployed necessary solutions, organized the publication on the Internet, entered changes in basic minutes of phones, and the first Yota Devices devices already received updates from the server in a cloud of IT-Grad. Developed later more advanced version of service as in use the first version a large number of functional requirements appeared. So today we use already the second generation of the FOTA server which, in addition to basic update handler functions of devices, can collect statistics on use of firmwares, keep track of their popularity, helping us to create more flexible strategy of software development and updates".
