Tasks

Main objective of the company is providing complex logistics services (design, the organization and effective management of logistics chains on the basis of customer requirements) at the level of the national logistic operator using modern business and information technologies in the field of logistics. The ambition of the project imposed special requirements to the choice of a management system for a logistic complex. The Yunitrans Logistik company considered several WMS systems presented at the Russian market and the price/functionality of the solution, simplicity and low cost of operation of the WMS system considered such factors as complexity and adaptivity of a warehouse management system for application in the field of commercial logistics, experience and popularity of the company in the market of automation of logistics, a ratio.

Solution

Within the project specialists of ant Technologies automated activity of the warehouse complex "Yunitrans Logistik" with a total area more than 30,000 sq.m and with a capacity of 55,000 paleto-places. At implementation of the WMS system of Logistic Vision Suite setup of wide functionality on management of logistic processes was made, including:

• traffic control of goods using different units of measure, storage systems and the strategy of the movement (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO, BBD - best before day);
• configuring and reservation of space of a warehouse under specifics of each client for storage of different types of Palette (euro or American), settings on accounting of extreme weight of a stock in a cell and limit dimensions of a cell;
• maintaining the commodity reference book by owners of goods;
• maintaining reference books of personnel, users of a system, vehicles, loading means and other auxiliary equipment, setup of the reference book of the loading equipment taking into account high-rise characteristics of work (to the 3 or 6 tier), taking into account weight characteristics and types a pallet;
• recalculation of units of measure, for example, from pieces in pallets, from liters in kilograms, from meters in pieces;
• optimization of operation of the loading equipment is made;
• setup of support of requirements for account of lots, serial numbers, dates of production, expiration dates, different statuses of goods;

setup of support of different storage systems: dimensionless – type a stage, floor, stuffed,

• rack multilevel storage;
• support of functions of the supervisor: inventory, inventory adjustments, the modes of rejection, blocking of a trade inventory on quality control, etc.;
• the management of data exchange (import \export) with a corporate system of clients of the customer supporting the main formats of data (a format of the text file with dividers, XML, requests to databases);
• business process management of a complete set, sorting of the selected orders, verifications of the selected orders, etc.;
• setup of functionality of repacking of orders, printing of packing lists;
• setup of support of a hierarchical tree of standard sizes commodity reference book (support of hierarchy of enclosure of standard sizes, for example, piece> minibox> box> pallet);
• accomplishment of warehouse transactions in a run mode of tasks, purpose of tasks to a certain employees, grouping of tasks on characteristics of the loading equipment;
• possibility of formation of big set of standard reports and development of client reports.

During an implementation project of the WMS system installation of the module of the billing configured taking into account specifics of each client is made. The system of billing allows to make out bills for different transactions of placement, movements, replenishments, selection, packaging, shipment of goods. Thus, implementation of functionality of billing gives an opportunity to the customer completely to control all settlings with clients and to create accounts with the maximum extent of detailing on any warehouse transactions and units of goods.

Specialists of ant Technologies completely made settings for service of the first three clients of a warehouse: the configuration of an address space, filling of the commodity reference book, development of labels and user reports taking into account specifics of clients, development of the system of data exchange between clients and a warehouse, are adapted conventional warehouse processes of acceptance, placements, shipments, etc. Besides, system operation of billing for drawing of accounts for transactions of placement, movement, replenishment, selection, packaging, shipment by types of packagings and owners of goods, for transactions of acceptance and shipment which cannot be automated use of radio terminals was configured (for example, arrival to bulk). The system of billing is also customized on drawing of accounts for storage by storage systems and owners of goods.

In all territory of a warehouse the network based on the equipment of Motorola (Symbol Technologies) is unrolled by Wi-fi, setup and installation of radio terminals and printers is made for printing of labels of production Zebra Technologies.

Specialists of ant Technologies Educational advice center make training of managers and operators of radio terminals and also supervision manpower and administrators.

Result

As a result of project implementation on system implementation of management of a warehouse the Yunitrans Logistik company received multifunction managerial tools which will allow to increase noticeably personnel labor productivity, effectively and economically to use the specialized warehouse equipment and warehouse space, to reduce the cost of storage and processing of goods. Management of the company will be able to obtain the complete information about work of a warehouse in real time that will allow to manage business of the company effectively.
