2024: Launch of a 25-megawatt power plant EGES-25PA
A 25-megawatt power unit EGES-25PA the development and production of UEC-Aviadvigatel was launched at a TETs-1 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The equipment has already begun to generate electricity and will help cover peak loads at the city CHPP. Another similar unit will be commissioned by the end of 2024. UEC-Aviadvigatel announced this on September 6, 2024.
UEC-Aviadvigatel designers, when developing the products, took into account the possibility of earthquakes on Sakhalin Island - the power units withstand seismic impact on a scale MSK-64 intensity of up to 9 points.
In addition, the Perm enterprise sent equipment to the facility in the form of full factory readiness units for subsequent large-block installation. This design solution made it possible to minimize the time for installation, commissioning and commissioning of equipment.
25-megawatt power units are designed to operate on the open site of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinskaya CHPP in a simple cycle. Natural gas is used as fuel. The basis of the EGES is the GTE-25PA gas turbine plant - one of the most efficient plants on the world market. The heat efficiency of the fuel is 86.3%.
Power units have EGES-25PA been operated at Russian thermal power plants since 2015. To date, the fleet has 15 units with a total capacity of 375 MW and a total operating time of over 950 thousand hours.
The compact overall dimensions of the EGES-25PA allow them to be used for the superstructure of existing thermal power plants. High dynamic characteristics ensure EGES-25PA operation in basic, peak and semi-peak modes. Power units can operate on natural and associated petroleum gas, in simple, cogeneration, as well as complex cycles.
