Tasks and tool

The main tasks of project management of a MRO are:

  • Further aggregate planning of a MRO and improvement on many objects or the operating enterprises, including budget planning;

Characteristics

The size of the enterprise and the industry in which it works are the main characteristics of an automation object. The choice of a certain solution on automation and its architecture in many respects depends on these characteristics. In the capital-intensive industries to the big enterprises more difficult and expensive solutions on process automation of a MRO are required.

Processes of a MRO are usually characterized by broad territorial prevalence. Installation of jobs is necessary for automation of these processes as it is possible closer to the venue of repair work or to places where information on a condition of equipment, for example, dispatching offices or points of diagnostics is accumulated. It should be noted that the result of operation of a system requires installation of jobs in close proximity to works location (the sections requiring repair, warehouses Inventories, points of diagnosing, the place of the statement of dresses for works).

Types of a MRO

There are three main types of a MRO used at the enterprises.

The first type - service "on an event". This type acquires the right to existence provided that cost value of repair rather low, and the defects of products received as a result of breakdown of the equipment are insignificant and will not have any impact on accomplishment of obligations to customers. In case of unforeseen repair the enterprise incurs losses as a result of defects of products and violation of obligations, and is forced to make urgent purchases, as a rule, not profitable on price conditions and to wait until the ordered spare parts are delivered from the supplier.

Procedural service is considered the second type of a MRO. Each asset has a passport of the producer in which it is written, in what mode and what services it is necessary to provide in order that the equipment continued the work. This type of service of the most expensive, though gives the highest percent of readiness of the equipment.

The third type of service – "on a status". Using the measuring instruments installed on the equipment or an expert way assessment of its status is made on the basis of what the forecast, about time of an output of this equipment in repair becomes. Positive sides of this type of service are that cost value is less, and readiness of the equipment for accomplishment of production programs is very high.
