Why Mail.ru, Dr.Web, Qiwi, Acronis and Baikal Electronics do not hurry to return employees in offices

At the end of May, 2020 TAdviser polled representatives of the IT industry about their plans for an exit from a remote operation mode. In total during the poll of TAdviser received answers from 44 companies.

As long the IT companies are going to work in the remote mode

Not all Russian IT companies hurry to return the employees to offices in connection with retreat of a pandemic of a coronavirus.

As the CEO of Dr.Web Boris Sharov certified TAdviser, there are no reasons for return of employees to office yet. However, according to him, the company in it will not interfere with them if only time spent for the road does not prevent them to get to office.

The CEO of Akronis ITProtect company Alexey Badayev does not see sense to force return of employees to office while the situation is not normalized.

Crypto Pro will give an opportunity to work far off 80% of employees before the complete termination of a pandemic, the commercial director of the company Yury Maslov assured TAdviser.

Not earlier than September also the staff of Mail.ru Group will return to office, informed TAdviser in the company. In the letter employees were reported about it also by the head of Mail.ru Group Boris Dobrodeyev [1].

He also permited employees at observance of some conditions for remote work to move to other city or to be shipped outward. But provided that at them "on the new place the Internet will not fall off and will perfectly catch phone" and that in working time across Moscow they will be in touch.

At the same time in the address the head of the company noted that Mail.ru Group is going to open partially offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg for those, "to whom absolutely already unbearable", but employees will be able to come to work only in urgent cases.

Until the end of summer is not going to return in large quantities employees in office also to "Yandex". The CEO in Russia Elena Bunina announced it on May 29 it at a general meeting of the company. Employees, according to her, can till September though "remove a lodge in the village, the main thing - that there was a good Internet" [2].

At Corus Consulting Group in return of employees to office urgent business necessity is absent. However in the company assume that when her clients return to the offices, a part of specialists will have such need too.

In Baikal Electronics in June will continue to work in the remote mode, considering, at the same time, the possibility of preserving for a considerable part of employees of a format of remote work and in the future.

Such mode will allow employees to save considerably time for the road, and the companies - to expand geography of search of personnel, the HR director of Baikal Electronics Tatyana Vinter reported TAdviser. What part of employees Baikal Electronics will leave on the remote mode, it did not specify, having told only that determination of their quantity depends on the decision of heads of divisions made in August-September after studying of results of divisions and their efficiency which they will pass upon termination of the isolation period.

The "SysSoft" company will continue to work far off in June and, perhaps, all summer period, reported TAdviser her HR director Andrey Vilkov.

Oblakoteka will work completely remotely "at least until the end of summer". The company will return to the former mode if the situation allows, to the beginning of a business season, the CEO of Oblakoteka Maxim Zakharenko told TAdviser.

According to the HR director of Izhevsk "Center of High Technologies" (CHT) Ruzili Garayeva, the company does not hurry to return to work from office in complete scale until stabilization of a situation in the world though "in corporate chats continually it is possible to meet wishes of the fastest of "internal reunion".

Who the first will return to office

The first after normalization of a situation of the IT company are going to return to office of those employees who in it have a direct need – connected with paper document flow, infrastructure maintenance, sales, office-mendzherov and also those to whom more comfortably to work at office, than in house conditions.

Employees from administration who should work with paper documents will come to work in office first of all, those who for some reason have difficulties with the organization of work of the house. Plans for reduction of office space

The IT companies which are going to continue to work in the summer in the remote mode have different plans concerning the office space.

Corus Consulting Group already refused 20% of office space. However, according to Alexander Semyonov, their reduction does not bring damage to comfort of staff of the company.

We understand that on an udalyonka there will be not all: many people last in office: someone lacks communication, it is just not so convenient to someone to work from the house. Also Dr.Web is going to reduce office space. According to Boris Sharov, the company surely will apply the released money "with bigger advantage".

In Raidix there are plans for reduction of office space too, however, in the company consider that real-life communication between colleagues, after all, is invaluable.

On survey results which are regularly carried out to the companies more than a third of employees of Rostelecom are completely satisfied with work on an udalenka and would like to continue to work also or partially after the end of self-isolation. Leaving on a complete or partial udalenka of employees after a pandemic will provide more attractive working conditions for personnel. Reduction of office spaces because of transition to an udalenka is not planned. The IT companies to which it is not sat at office any more

Within the survey conducted by TAdviser a position to leave longer employees on the remote mode it was not the most popular. The vast majority of the polled IT companies as it became clear, are going to display in office of the employees after official date of removal of isolation, calculating that it will be in June, or are guided for June-July, without making a start from this date.

According to the HR director of New cloud technologies company Ekaterina Dementieva, to the current situation the organization almost did not work with remote workers therefore for the company it is really new experience of creation of processes.

After general isolation ends or approximate terms of its termination will become at least clear, we will consider the possibility of an exit of employees in office. During the quarantine someone realized what to work from the house turns out more effective, and for someone these two months became this testing. We are ready to consider different options of further interaction of employees, - Ekaterina Dementieva told TAdviser.

The HR director of SearchInform Kirill Medvedev assured TAdviser that in the majority of the cities, including Moscow, the staff of the company for 100% is ready to return to offices since June 1. Where restrictive measures are more tough, according to him, the remote format of work will last for at least two weeks longer.

According to Medvedev, generally it is specialists whose profile allows to carry out tasks completely online – developers, testers. Besides, in some cities about 1-2 employees therefore there offices to it are inexpedient to be opened work for the company.
