2022: Motorola Solutions bought Ava Security

On March 4, 2022, Motorola Solutions announced the acquisition of Ava Security, a London-based provider of cloud-based video security and analytics solutions. This transaction is expected to change the state of affairs in the global market for managed security services. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Ava Security, founded in 2016, has 169 employees. The company's software suite includes the Reveal MSSP Console for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). The solution supports services for detecting and responding to insider risks, the manufacturer notes.

Motorola Solutions Bought Cloud Developer to Analyze Video in Surveillance Systems

The acquisition of Ava Security strengthens Motorola Solutions business in two areas. Motorola Solutions has a strong position in video-focused security services. In addition, Motorola Solutions is developing a managed security service practice focused on more traditional cybersecurity services. In 2020, the company spent $72 million to acquire Delta Risk (MSSP, part of the Top 250) and LunarLine. And in 2021, Motorola Solutions acquired Openpath Security for almost $300 million.
