The technology of ecologically rational design created by Blue Ridge Numerics company, modeling of currents and processes of a heat transfer of CFdesign will become important addition to a product family of Autodesk for engineering calculations and the analysis in industrial design. Now this family includes Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Algor Simulation and Autodesk Moldflow. After CFdesign becomes a part of technology of digital prototypes of Autodesk, users will have many new opportunities for accomplishment of hydrodynamic calculations, emphasized in Autodesk. So, engineers will be able automatically to create models of fluid environments and to perform thermal modeling, without making expensive physical prototypes for these purposes, claim in the company.

The CFdesign technology allows the designers occupied in industrial production and construction to execute virtual testing and to predict behavior of the new and already existing projects in actual practice, doing at the same time without physical samples, costs for which production are very high. The software created by Blue Ridge Numerics gives to engineers the chance in advance to calculate influence of air flows, fluid environments and cooling of the electronic equipment on their projects. It does products better and fault-tolerant, and buildings – effective from the power point of view, explained in Autodesk. Meanwhile, the technology of the analysis of broad application developed by Blue Ridge Numerics creates exact models with which it is possible to work effectively in many CAD, even without having wide experience of carrying out engineering calculations.

After completion of the transaction of Autodesk is going to integrate Blue Ridge Numerics into the division creating software for mechanical engineering and industrial production – Manufacturing Industry Group. Development and sale of the products CFdesign will be continued. Besides, Autodesk will also provide further a customer support of Blue Ridge Numerics and also will help them to join community of users of Autodesk. At further product development of Blue Ridge Numerics the former approach assuming their use in a combination to many CAD will be saved.
