Besides, Compuscan renders marketing services. The company also free of charge provides credit reports to individuals.

2018: Experian buys Compuscan

On December 18, 2018 the Experian company announced the solution to purchase Compuscan company (CSH Group Ltd) providing information services and services of bureau of credit conditions in Africa.

Thanks to investments into the innovative technologies competitive advantages of two companies to integrate to bring modern and most competitive tools of credit assessment to the African market. Compuscan for December, 2018 has at the order credit data of 26 million people and 200,000 companies in the Republic of South Africa that covers about 56% of the population.

The integrated customer bases will supplement each other. Clients of Experian in the Republic of South Africa are first of all large financial and telecommunication companies whereas Compuscan holds advantageous position in the field of microcredit and also in the field of retail and insurance.

Experian purchases Compuscan for 3,720 million rands (~ $263 million). Acquisition still requires official approval of the Commission on protection of the competition in the Republic of South Africa. Closing of the transaction is expected in the I apartment 2019/2020 of financial year.

It is expected that in a year which is coming to an end on December 31, 2018 Compuscan will receive revenue in the amount of 489 million rands (~ $35 million) which will increase up to 532 million rands ($38 million) in the year which is coming to an end on December 31, 2019. These digits are comparable to Experian revenue in the Republic of South Africa – about $40 million. It is expected that the transaction will lead to profit increase on an action within the first complete year of joint work.
