Every year, over the past five years, the company has demonstrated growth rates of over 50%. Today, according to CMI Farmexpert, Katren ranks third in Russia in terms of gross sales. Over the years, the company has built an extensive network of 30 branches and 52 representative offices. The company's regional divisions supply medicines and medical supplies to more than 31 thousand pharmacy sales points in 82 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and geographically cover 95% of the country.

2023: Increase to 100% stake in Erkafarm

2009

In 2009, despite the financial crisis, Katren continued its growth. Thus, the net profit of the company increased 3 times compared to 2008 and amounted to 46.5 million dollars, and the turnover increased to 2.13 billion dollars. As part of regional development in 2009, Katren opened a new branch in Murmansk, and also increased its storage capacity in Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg and Moscow. In the same year, the management company Katren OJSC continued the development of the international line of business, in which the company acquired the share of the Kazakh distributor Emity International LLP.

2008

In 2008, branches in Rostov-on-Don and Arkhangelsk were opened on the basis of regional representative offices. New warehouse complexes have been launched in Stavropol, Kazan, Ufa, Samara. The largest branches of the company are connected to a single telephone network. Katren OJSC in 2008 carried out the first transaction to enter foreign markets: the company Venta.LTD LLC (Ukraine) was acquired. This was the beginning of Katren's long-term strategy to create an international distribution company.

2007

In 2007, CJSC NPK Katren became the third company in terms of gross sales in the Russian pharmaceutical market . In the Moscow region, a new basic warehouse complex began to work - the central distribution warehouse. In the Moscow and St. Petersburg branches of Katren, 2 automatic assembly pipelines were launched. Branches have been opened in Perm and Voronezh. KBF "Katren" received "Platinum Ounce 2007" in the nomination "Social Project," began the implementation of the project "All Our Children."

2006

Warehouse space has been increased from 30 thousand square meters. m to 50 thousand square meters. m due to the opening of a new logistics complex in Moscow and the opening of new branches in Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod. The charity foundation began the implementation of the "Gallery of Hearts" project. A new project "Legal Protection" has appeared. For the first time, the company issued the Annual Report 2005 in print, where it published its financial results and summed up its activities.

2005

The company entered the subcategory of F1-C in the ranking of national distributors according to CMI Farmexpert, taking the sixth position, and bought out a stake (31.43%) owned by the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development). New projects launched: "Olympics" and "New Amazons." In October, Katren became the winner in the industry competition "Best Pharmaceutical Supplier" in the nominations "Best Inventory Management" and "Best Customer Service."

2004

New projects have been launched - Katren-Finance and Katren-Automation. The "Quality Program" has started, combining the internal quality management system (TQM) and the system of working with pharmacy institutions, the main supplier of which is Katren. The charity program "Medicines for orphans" is being implemented in 7 regions of Russia.

2003

All branches are transferred to work with the Business Explorer program, a single certificate base is organized. This year, the Katren Corporate Charitable Foundation was created. In March 2003, Katren was officially recognized as a national distributor.

2002

The company's branches are developing a network of regional representative offices. The representative offices have remote access terminals to the main Business Explorer sales program. In the same year, the company develops a new project "Katren-Style" - the production of high-quality medical clothing for the company's customers. In April, the first issue of the corporate newspaper is published.

2001

The Winprice electronic ordering program is launched.

2000

1997

A new pharmacy warehouse with an area of ​ ​ 3 thousand square meters. m. The staff in the central office grows to 150 people. 15 regional offices are opening. A long-term program is being developed to consistently reduce the cost of goods.

1996

The first regional office in Omsk was created, where a "depot-warehouse" is organized.

1995

The first clients appear outside the Novosibirsk region. The transport scheme is becoming more complicated: in addition to road, it includes rail and air transportation. Sales reach $6 million per year.

1994

The first direct deliveries from manufacturers appear. The first small warehouse opens. In the same year, the company acquires the first computer from which the global process of automating the company's work will begin. The sales volume is $3 million, the number of employees is 12 people.

1993

April 19, 1993 is considered the day of the founding of Katren. At this time, the company worked with 50 clients of Novosibirsk and the region. During this year, an enterprise with 6 employees managed to achieve an annual turnover of $30 thousand.
