Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region

The Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region is the executive body of state power of the Penza Region, authorized to implement the state policy in the field of formation and coordination of the unified economic policy of the Penza region in the prescribed manner, forecasting and strategic planning of the socio-economic development of the Penza region, the formation of state programs of the Penza region, development of small and medium-sized businesses and industrial parks, investment policy and public-private partnership, coordination of foreign economic activity, organization of provision of public services, industry, innovation policy, as well as in the field of procurement to meet the needs of the Penza region.

History

2021: Renamed the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region

By Decree Governments of the Penza region of July 12, 2021 No. 410-pP^[1], the Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy of the Penza Region was renamed the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region with the transfer to the Ministry of the agriculture Penza Region of the authority to participate in the implementation of state policy in the field food of product production, including beverages (including: production of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery; production; beer production of mineral waters and other soft drinks).

2020: Name change to Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy of Penza Region

By order of February 25, 2020 No. 89^[2], the name of the Ministry of Industry, Transport and Innovation Policy of the Penza Region was replaced by the Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy of the Penza Region.

2016: Name change to Ministry of Industry, Transport, Innovation Policy and Informatization of Penza Region

By order of April 1, 2016 No. 50^[3], the name of the Ministry was changed to the Ministry of Industry, Transport, Innovation Policy and Informatization of the Penza Region.

2014: Creation of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship Development, Innovation Policy and Informatization of the Penza Region

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship Development, Innovation Policy and Informatization of the Penza Region was established in December 2014. All rights and obligations of the Office of Industry and Transport of the region, as well as the Office of Informatization of the Penza Region, which, in turn, were abolished, passed to him. The Ministry of Investment Development and Entrepreneurship was also attached to the new ministry.
