History

2018: Balabit purchase

The One Identity company in January, 2018 announced purchase of Balabit, the supplier of PAM solutions for management of exclusive access, to the analysis of action of exclusive accounts and a log management. Terms of transaction are not disclosed.

Having concluded the bargain with Balabit, the One Identity company expects to expand further a line of the solutions, using machine learning, analytics of exclusive accounts which are necessary for creation of complex PAM-and IAM platforms. Balabit acquisition also allows One Identity to control future development of technology of vendor to create more powerful solutions for tasks of the clients connected with management of exclusive accounts.

Developments of Balabit help business to reduce risks of leak of confidential information owing to wrong or harmful actions of exclusive accounts. The PAM solution Balabit protects from the threats with a high risk connected with thefts of credentials of privileged users and also provides the additional level of protection by collecting and the analysis of actions of exclusive accounts. The technology of control and monitoring of sessions from Balabit is integrated into recently announced solution One Identity Safeguard within OEM partnership.

Scales and complexity of deployment of IAM continue to grow, the organizations even more often aim to optimize number of vendors with which they cooperate.
