Biography

Valery was born on November 20, 1929 in Baku.

In 1952 got an education at the Moscow oil institute of I.M. Gubkin.

In 1976 studied at Institute of the national economy.

Candidate of Technical Sciences.

From 1952 to 1957 worked as the assistant to the master in oil production, the work and regulation, manager of intra-field transfer engineer, the master in oil production, the chief of technological department, the head of department of oil and gas production – the deputy chief engineer of consolidation Tatneft.

In 1957 worked as the head of department of production, oil refining and gas, the managing director of trust "Tatneftegaz" in Management of oil industry of the Tatar economic council. Worked for 1964.

From 1964 to 1972 worked the chief engineer – the deputy chief of consolidation Tatneft.

Since 1972 was the chief of economic planning management – the member of board, the deputy minister of oil industry, the chief of the main Tyumen production association on the oil and gas industry of Glavtyumenneftegaz, the vice-chairman of scientific and technical council of the ministry in the ministry of oil industry of the USSR. Worked for 1991.

1992: CEO RITEK

From 1992 to 2010 was the CEO of JSC RITEK.

2000: Chairman of the board of directors Lukoil

In 2000 it is elected the chairman of the board of directors of PJSC Lukoil.

2000: Chairman of the board of directors Lukoil

In 2010 it is elected the chairman of the board of directors of JSC RITEK.

For April 10, 2018 Valery Isaakovich Grayfer works at a position of the chairman of the board of directors of PJSC Lukoil, the chairman of the board of directors of JSC RITEK.

Family

Widower. Two daughters.

Achievements

Seven awards, four medals, certificate of honor of the Supreme Council Tatar ASSR, certificate of honor of the Russian President.

Professor of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

Winner of the Lenin award and award of the Government of the Russian Federation.
