Luzhkov Yury Mikhaylovich is the Russian political figure, for 18 years (from 1992 to 2010) the holding post of the Mayor of Moscow. Within 9 years (since 2001) was also a cochairman of Supreme council of the party United Russia which left right after resignation from the mayor's post.

Biography

In 1972 Yury Luzhkov signed the first contract for territories of the USSR with IBM. At that time future Mayor of Moscow was the head of department of informatization of Minkhimprom. The mainframe was purchased from IBM.
