Biography

Martin Hermansson was born on September 12, 1982. The birthplace – Seglora, the town located in the south of Sweden near border with Denmark.

Education

Osnovnoye and Martin Hermansson got higher education at Europe. He is fluent in three languages — native Swedish, English and Russian. Rather well knows German.

Has the bachelor's degree in the field of economy and finance. Graduated at Great Britain: in 2005 graduated from London School of Economics — one of the leading educational institutions in England entering in top-50 higher educational institutions of the world.

Career

After receiving degree of the bachelor at London school economies Martine Hermansson moved in Russia where held key posts in the large companies. His career in the field of the forest industry in the Russian Federation began in 2006. At the same time it saved the Swedish nationality.

In 2006 Martin Hermansson created Gungner Industries company to render consulting services to the companies of timber processing complex of the Russian Federation. The company acquaints domestic lumbermen with the European experience of management of forest lands. Experience and knowledge of the European experts promote upgrade of the forest industry in the Russian Federation. The company under control of Martin Hermansson helps the Russian entrepreneurs to upgrade production to increase product competitiveness in the world markets and to implement large-scale projects.

In 2007 Martin Hermansson became the founder and the CEO of the timber industry holding Nord Timber Group including several woodworking enterprises in the north of Russia. The enterprises which became a part of holding perform procurement of the wood, deliver timber to the domestic companies and abroad and also are engaged in direct processing of timber. Products of Nord Timber Group meet the requirements of the Russian and international standards.

In 2010 Nord Timber Group signed the merger agreement with RusForest group (the enterprises which were its part performed procurement and processing of timber in the Irkutsk region). Martin Hermansson became the head of newly created holding. Expense reduction on operating activities and management became a main objective of a company merger. Also a number of the modern technological solutions which allowed to lower production costs of products and to increase its competitiveness was implemented. The saved means were let to further development of the company.

In 2013 Martin Hermansson founded RFI Consortium company and became its CEO. Same year the company began cooperation with New Yenisei LHK.

Public activity

In 2018 the CEO of "the New Yenisei timber-chemical complex" became one of key speakers at the 20th St. Petersburg International Timber industry Forum.

In the activity Martin Hermansson pays special attention to questions of recovery of natural resources. According to him, long-term sustainable development of the forest industry in Russia is impossible without responsibility of market participants for recovery of forest plantings.

The main areas of interest for August, 2019 are logging and the woodworking industry.

The main hobby of Martin Hermansson is rest in the fresh air. Likes to catch fish and to spend time in nature.

Family

Martin Hermansson is officially not married. There are no children.
