2018: Representation of e-Teacher

On August 14, 2018 the Russian company "Ekvio" presented at the market of remote education mobile application e-Teacher which works on any mobile devices with operating systems from Android IOS versions 4.0, 9. The difference of this solution of normal video lessons or PDF- textbooks consists in the high level of involvement of pupils due to interactive exercises and tasks. Time for training is reduced much, and capability of the pupil from the first to pass the test test reaches 97%.

Special attention is paid to low cost, simplicity and availability of creation of training courses from simple videos and the normal presentations in Power Point.

For creation of training materials difficult, expensive programs and distance learning specialists are not necessary.

Any teacher can save the normal presentation of Power Point with animation in video format, load any video from the smartphone and add interactive tasks, tests, exercises in several minutes.

The e-Teacher application is available to users in App Store and Google Play, also any educational institution can use the demoversion of the solution free of charge.

In 2014 Ekvio provided mobile application for corporate training, and for August, 2018 it was set by about 100 thousand people in 15 companies of the market of FMCG. e-Teacher is focused on wider audience: players of the market of remote education, publishers and also schools and universities. The solution of the company considers a format of consumption of information by generation Y and Z therefore its key characteristics — mobility, interactivity, a mikrolening.

For August, 2018 the main functional features of e-Teacher is the following:

  • information is provided in mobile application by a series of videos during which watching interactive exercises and tasks appear. Interactive tasks allow the pupil to check as far as he acquired the browsed material and help to remember the most important;
  • interactive tasks happen several types, for example: determination of one or several correct answers to a question, choice of the correct picture, watching additional video and others. After each task the pupil receives a feedback and points for the correct answer;
  • in order that the pupil did not miss important information, at the first viewing a lesson an opportunity to scroll forward video is unavailable to it, at repeated viewings there are no these restrictions. The PDF file which contains the main theses of material and\or the link to additional resources in the Internet is attached to each video lesson;
  • after viewing a lesson the pupil executes the final test. The number of attempts, the minimum quantity of the gained points for its passing, an opportunity to see errors and the correct answers is set by the teacher. A form of giving of questions same, as in inserts. After test passing the pupil sees the result or necessary number of the right answers for its passing;
  • as additional check there are tests and polls containing material of several lessons. The teacher can configure them: define number of possible attempts, a priority of answers, additional points and so on;
  • in case of successful task performance the pupil receives the certificate on passing of a lesson and an award in the form of a special icon which is displayed in a profile. In group the rating of pupils on number of the gained points forms, it is available to the teacher and pupils. The number of points for accomplishment of different tests is configured by the teacher;
  • in addition to primary partition of Knowledge in e-Teacher there are auxiliary headings: Videokanal (the rating of video forms at the expense of likes of pupils), Library (books are laid out here, pictures, the presentations, screenshots, all material it is broken on subjects), the "My results" (passed, which are not handed over or future lessons), Statistics (time for passing of the test spent by the user, the number of the gained points and their greatest possible quantity);
  • in mobile application there is also a number of options for the teacher. Information and statistics on all pupils in the section "My command" is available to it: when the user came into the profile at how many lessons looked and what time spent on passing of the test, what its results what questions were raised by the greatest difficulties;
  • the section "My command" allows the teacher to understand how competently to place accents in training to what materials pupils should return when the block is passed. Also the teacher can conduct surveys, send notices, divide pupils on groups, for each of them making the personal training plan;
  • for watching video in mobile application of e-Teacher the Internet is not necessary, materials can be loaded and then to browse offline. The teacher will receive results of tests after connection of the device to Network.

More than 100 thousand families already selected alternative training methods from Russia. A huge number of children does not attend school for health reasons, owing to specifics of career of parents or in connection with the choice of a sports way. We looked for the tool which will help these children to study not just fully, but also with bigger effectiveness, to spend less time for study. What we saw in the market — different forms of digitalization of normal school process — less effectively remotely. Therefore we prevailed corporate solution which allows to create specialists for few days, and used the finds for other audience. Our call — to make training more interesting, not taking away such huge array of time, to release to children time for physical and social development. Using our solution normal schools and institutes will be able to implement the concept of the inverted training when information is acquired in advance, the teacher turns into the tutor and the mentor. And the children who are torn off from school space — will gain full-fledged knowledge, having spent for it many times less than time. A paradox of our solution also also that an examination — not selective. The teacher can estimate two-three pupils, in many respects subjectively. And to create estimates not on the basis of personal opinion or feeling, and exact data.

We suggest not to fight against progress, furiously upholding old methods of teaching, and to use modern opportunities of technologies and to give to pupils the necessary knowledge in a different way, more effectively. The modern generation does not leave mobile devices, we accept it, we understand all advantages and we submit them information in that form and with such level of interactivity which is clear to them. The professional team of experienced programmers, methodologists, a product command works on the project. We are ready to check quickly working hypotheses and to develop a product to perfection. I am sure that the best assessment to us will be given by consumers. We believe that "Practice — criterion of the truth', the main thing is not beautiful technical specifications, but a real product which can use and which can be improved.
