2020: Support of drives of data of Storage Class Memory

On June 16, 2020 the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company announced updates of the storage systems (SS) of HPE Primera and HPE Nimble Storage within development of the Intellectual platform for data. It is a solution portfolio, relying on the artificial intelligence (AI), developed for work in a multicloud environment and provided to customers on model "as service". In the provided updating to opportunities of DWH it is added: for Primera — basic autonomy from the person in ensuring availability; for Nimble — support of drives of data of Storage Class Memory (SCM, memory of a class of storage). 2018: HPE Nimble Storage Gen5

Since May, 2018 in Russia the new generation of storage systems of HPE Nimble Storage Gen5 is available to the order. The key feature of Nimble Storage is the system of automatic support HPE InfoSight which prevents emergence of problems in IT infrastructure around Nimble array on the basis of the analysis of telemetry from all set base worldwide. On average the service case is solved in 42 minutes, 96% of cases are solved less than in 8 hours. Support of Nimble in the Russian Federation is performed irrespective of HPE Pointnext through the automated HPE InfoSight service and the authorized external agencies for replacement of spare parts and repair on site also worldwide.

In Russia at the moment (June, 2018) the warehouse of spare parts and office of engineers of Nimble in Moscow, with the guaranteed covering services of support of the NBD Parts Delivery level for the most part of the territory of the Russian Federation works (see the table at the end of this post). If your platform is out of this coverage, or service of level above than is required to NBD Parts Delivery for the array set out of Moscow and 270 km around it it is necessary to add also small set of spare parts which will add some percent to purchase cost to purchase, but considerably will improve the speed of the solution of possible hardware problems.

Other distinctive advantages of Nimble:

  • If or just one hybrid system at your disposal is more than one array of Nimble connected in a cluster, then for you the intelligent system of providing SLA on performance and availability on types of applications or at the choice of the administrator which helps to place data on those arrays and types of carriers which meet the requirements of the application works.

2017: Nimble Secondary Flash Array

Nimble Secondary Flash Array (HPE Nimble Storage SF-Series, Secondary Flash) - a hybrid storage system is intended for storage of backup copies and creation of copies of these business and critical applications.

On May 27, 2017 the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise company announced storage system from Nimble Storage company.

Nimble Secondary Flash Array, (2017)

Secondary Flash Array (SFA) is intended for storage of backup copies and creation of copies of these critical applications for use in technological solutions of analytics, testing and development of the application software. For reduction of cost of storage in it deduplication and data compression are used. The zero-cloning function allows to create the copy of productional data without breaking work of the main[1].
