An IPGS series — a line of industrial switches.

2019: IPGS-6488XSFP

The ARMO-Systems company reported on April 8, 2019 that the Lantech company released the managed layer 2 switches + IPGS-6488XSFP which are intended for creation of failsafe networks of security systems and distribution of flows from the PoE-compatible equipment: surveillance cameras, video recorders, etc. The high level of protection against vibrations and electromagnetic interferences and also working capacity in standard or expanded to-40 … +75 °C temperature range, do these switches of network, according to the producer, by the optimal choice for creation of networks on industrial or transport facilities, and additional four slots of SFP+ (1/2.5/10 Gbps) and 8 SFP ports allow to transfer large volumes of data to long distances.

Lantech IPGS-6488XSFP switch

Fast connection to the switch of network devices of security systems (cameras, video recorders, etc.) and giving of a power supply on them are performed through eight 10/100/1000T IPGS-6488XSFP ports equipped with PoE IEEE802.3at/af injectors. The switch of network is capable to power the peripheral device with power up to 30 W, and the general budget of power for all PoE to ports makes 80 W, 120 W or 240 W at connection to the switch working from network 12, 24 or 48 B respectively. Whether this Lantech switch is capable to automatically determine the DP device under control of it "hung up" and to restart it that increases fault tolerance of a security system, claim in ARMO-Systems.

According to the developer, data transmission from the switch on long distances with a speed up to 10 Gbps can be implemented through fiber units of a form factor of SFP+ for which connection IPGS-6488XSFP is equipped with 4 slots. At the same time, the switch of network works with 100-megabit and gigabit SFP transceivers, and supports auto detection of SFP/SFP+ of connection. Capacity of the network device reaches 112 Gbps. Along with high data transfer rate, the switch uses the advanced algorithms of network security and protection against any failures, providing networks high fault tolerance.

As noted in ARMO-Systems, industrial execution of the Lantech switches allows them to work steadily in the conditions of permanent vibrations, electromagnetic and radio-frequency interferences. IPGS-6488XSFP are protected from interruptions and voltage surges in network and also from an electrostatic discharge that allows them to protect peripheral devices from the negative processes arising on a supply line and Ethernet. Depending on operating conditions it is possible to select the switch of IPGS-6488XSFP-12V (dual) network with an operating temperature range from-20 to +60 °C and support of a power supply from a source of 12 V or 24 V or the 48-volt IPGS-6488XSFP-48V model and also their modifications for work at-40 … +75 °C.

Protection of the switch against errors of connection or application of the wrong configuration during creation of "rings" with simple and/or difficult topology and also support of an automatic configuration of "a single ring" allows to simplify process of creation of network on industrial facilities. At the same time the switch of network provides instant recovery of network after failure (no more than 20 ms) at consolidation in "ring" to 256 devices due to compliance to ITU G.8032 standards, and thanks to a system access and authentications TACACS+ and also Ingress/Egress ACL L2/L3, SSH/SSL and other functionality of IPGS-6488XSFP guarantees protection of transmitted data, emphasized in ARMO-Systems.

According to information for April, 2019 industrial 10-gigabit switches of Lantech IPGS-6488XSFP network are already available to the order.

2017: The 10-port managed switch is released

On November 27, 2017 the Lantech company announced release of the managed switch of IPGS-5408DFT-PT ports for creation of networks of power substations.

10-port IPGS-5408DFT-PT, (2017) switch

The IPGS-5408DFT-PT switch is focused on the enterprises of the industry and power. It meets standards of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613, supports the high level of electromagnetic interferences and differences of external temperatures.

The switch on 10 gigabit ports belongs to devices of the L2 Plus level, provides high capacity of 24 Gbps and has functionality for work in different networks. Two combined SFP slots allow to connect IPGS-5408DFT-PT to fiber optic lines via transceivers, to use the switch for the organization of security systems in the places remote from a primary server.

Performance of IPGS-5408DFT-PT is reached due to architecture of the switch and maintenance of capacity to 24 Gbps. Control of data streams is executed in one of two modes: half-duplex using counter-pressure and IEEE 802.3x, full-duplex with transfer of frames. The switch of ports can transfer packets of the size (Jumbo frame) increased up to 10 Kb. For authentication, authorization and collecting of data on the used IPGS-5408DFT-PT resources supports the RADIUS, TACACS+ protocols, SSHSSL//by ACL, and for contact of ports with attached devices uses the integrated table on 16K MAC of the addresses.

Connection of terminal units to the switch is executed through 10 ports 10/100/1000 Base-T, eight of which are supplied with PoE IEEE802.3at/af injectors with the maximum power on the port up to 30 W at the general budget of 120 W. For data transmission on distances up to 120 km the switch has 2 Combo SFP of port to which the corresponding optical transceivers are connected, and during the work in architecture of a single ring conforms to ITU G.8032 standard, i.e. provides recovery of network after failure less than for 20 ms.

Reliability of work and fault tolerance provides functionality of logical consolidation of several parallel data transmission channels in Ethernet-networks. As tools the switch of ports uses the LACP protocol (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) and trunk consolidation of ports (Port Trunking), allowing to create up to 8 groups on 8 participants in everyone. As well as other switches Lantech, IPGS-5408DFT-PT has functions of mirroring of ports for simplification of the analysis of traffic and supports the Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree and Multiple Spanning Tree (MSTP) protocols for reservation of ways of data transmission.

The possibility of segmentation of a local network and creation of the tagged virtual subnets of VLAN (Virtual LAN) in compliance with regulations of IEEE 802.1Q, allows to increase reliability of the system which is based on IPGS-5408DFT-PT. At the same time the switch of ports uses different mechanisms of management of VLAN, support information transfer about VLAN from one device on another – GVRP, etc. For traffic management the QoS function (Quality of Service) is provided: classification of traffic on the basis of 8 queues of priorities on all ports, etc. Effectively to use resources of a local network, the switch supports a multicasting and also IGMP-snooping v1, v2 and v3.

Fast setup of the switch can is implemented by means of the managing software of Lantech. External control provides the switch of ports through SNMP v1/v2c and v3, web interfaces, Telnet and from the command line (CLI). In particular, under SNMP v1 protocol it is executed configuration installations of the network device. As a part of functions support of the RMON groups (Remote Monitoring of Network).

For November 27, 2017 the Lantech IPGS-5408DFT-PT switches came to the Russian market.

2016

IPGS-0208MGSFP

On August 8, 2016 the Lantech company announced an output to the market of the Russian Federation of the uncontrollable IPGS-0208MGSFP PoE-switch. The device has the compact sizes, provides the high performance and stable data transfer rate on communication devices of higher level.

Industrial uncontrollable IPGS-0208MGSFP, (2016) switch

Switches of the IPGS-0208MGSFP series are intended for the organization of failsafe networks with a ring topology on industrial and transport facilities. Existence of injectors of PoE gives the chance to the switch with SFP to supply on the consumption up to 30 W peripheral devices everyone, and via two SFP modules — to change data transfer rate[1].

IPGS-0208MGSFP provides capacity of 26 Gbps, protection against vibrations and external influences on class IP30 and operating temperature range from-40 to +75 °C.

Allow to expand possibilities of network equipment of Lantech two built-in optical interfaces for connection of transceivers by means of which the SFP switch is capable to broadcast to PoE flows on optical fiber (multimode or single-mode) on long distances. One of SFP ports maintains data transfer rate of 1.25 Gbps whereas the second — up to 2.5 Gbps, switching between them is executed by the DIP switch.

PoE-ports 10/100/1000T with the built-in injectors of a power supply in number of eight pieces are intended for connection and a full-fledged work of terminal units, including the IP cameras of video surveillance of any producers supporting High/Power over Ethernet technologies and conforming to the IEEE 802.3at/af standards. Total power which the SFP switch is capable to give to PoE of the periphery can reach 240, 120 or 80 W (on 30, 15 or 10 W on each attached device), depending on the used power source of the most network equipment Lantech. Power consumption of IPGS-0208MG SFP does not exceed 10 W.

Power saving in a video surveillance system is reached due to application in IPGS-0208MGSFP of modern technologies of management of a power supply order on the devices connected to PoE to the switch through 8 relevant ports. The SFP PoE-switch can execute check of an activity rate of each IP camera under control of it in the course of transfer on it of a power supply and stops giving of current at its "zero" activity. Besides, in need of IPGS-0208MG SFP gives the electric power on the periphery according to the schedule when for each of ports the working schedule is formed previously.

Protection of electronics against vibration, blows and falling of the PoE-switch is provided by the metal body which is conforming to industry standards and having a class of protection against dust and IP30 moisture. Each PoE-switch with SFP can be installed in any places on a DIN rail or on a wall, the post provides protection of Ethernet (ESD) of 6 kV. current, protection against an electrostatic discharge (EFT) of 2 kV post. current it is also supplied with relay contact for connection to the system of the disturbing notification, and its LED indicators display the status PoE of ports, network connection, etc. a 5-year corporate guarantee.

IPGS-3008

On June 21, 2016 it became known of release of the industrial 8-port IPGS-3008 switch of the L2+ level by Lantech company. The main difference from analogs - compact dimensions of the body[1].

Devices of this line allow to create highly reliable high-speed networks with topology "ring", selfrecovery time less than 20 ms and capacity of 16 Gbps.

IPGS-3008, (2016) switch

The built-in PoE-injectors provide a power supply via switch 8 of PoE-compatible cameras and video recorders with power up to 30 W each, metal body of level of protection with IP30 and in the range of external temperatures from-40 to +75 °C provide with working capacity use of IPGS-3008 as a part of security systems of industrial facilities and vehicles.

The IPGS-3008 body (43x105x152 mm) gives opportunities for placement of the device in limited spaces of vehicles or telecommunication cabinets. Fastens using a DIN rail. As well as the class of heat/moisture protection IP30 has other production models of Lantech, this switch, bears blows, vibrations and electromagnetic interferences, is issued in modifications for work in the temperature ranges from-40 to +75 °C and from-20 to +60 °C. Besides, the new switch uses the Watchdog system for control of loading of the processor, is equipped with relay contact for transfer of a disturbing signal on the warning system and allows to configure sending notifications by e-mail and the SMS.

For reservation of ways of data transmission in the PoE-switches local area networks use the STP/RSTP and MSTP protocols (16 MSTI) which do not enter "conflict" with ITU G.8032.

Connection of the periphery - IP cameras and IP video recorders of different producers, is executed through 8 gigabit Ethernets of ports 10/100/1000T. By means of IEEE 802.3af/at it is possible to organize a power supply via switch 8 of PoE-compatible IP cameras with power up to 30 W. The switch supports auto detection of cable type of Auto MDI/MDI-X, can work in a floor - or a full duplex, to display the status PoE and network connection using LED indicators.

Fast detection in network of IP devices is provided by the CDP protocols (Cisco Discovery) and LLDP, and for simplification of configuring of each of 8 PoE of IPGS-3008 ports allows to use the graphic user interface with functions of autoconfiguring of a single ring, topology "demo", etc. Far off it is possible to configure the switch from 8 PoE ports via the web browser, SNMP, Telnet or from the command line (CLI) with a possibility of export of a configuration of the device to the separate edited file for its application on other network equipment of Lantech and acceleration of installation of a system. Modifications of the switch with the index - PTP support PTP v2 IEEE1588 protocol for time synchronization on all ports with an accuracy of 1 microsec.

2015

IPGS-2204DSFP

The line of network equipment of Lantech company was filled up in the summer of 2015 by switches of the IPGS-2204DSFP series which have the highest utilization properties and are intended for the organization of failsafe networks with a ring topology on industrial and transport facilities. Thanks to existence of PoE of injectors it is possible to power via the switch to 4 PoE-compatible devices with power up to 30 W everyone, and using two SFP modules — to create alternative channels of communication. At the same time, IPGS-2204DSFP have capacity of 12 Gbps, support IGMP, VLAN, QoS, a multicasting, local setup through RS-232 and also remote control using SNMP, Telnet, the command line (CLI) or Web applications.

Smooth operation of the switch is ensured by different technologies and the system of self-diagnostics. So, control of loading of the processor in IPGS-2204DSFP is exercised by Watchdog technology, and detection of critical values of working temperature and tension — Environmental Monitoring. It is important to note that the switch from 4 PoE injectors is equipped with relay contact (1A, 24 V DC) for transfer of a disturbing signal on the warning system, allows to configure sending notifications through SMTP, and optionally supports the DDM function for control of optical power/input power, temperature and tension on SFP transceivers. Existence of a power supply on 4 PoE ports and the status of each of them is displayed on LED indicators.

Two SFP slots of Dual Speed for connection of the transceivers transferring flows from the switch on optical fiber allow increase flexibility of architecture and reliability of network. Thanks to it, IPGS-2204DSFP can be applied to the organization of gigabit "rings" with a possibility of their installation in a rupture of a ring with providing an input and output. During the work with other topology the PoE-port switch 4 allows to create reserve connection. In this case, the module SFP-1 can be used for data transmission on one switch, and SFP-2 — on another. Moreover, the Pro-Ring IIse and Pro-Ring IIm technologies implemented in new products give the chance to integrate in "ring" up to 50 similar devices with a PoE-power supply and guarantee time of selfrecovery of network after failure less than for 20 ms.

Fast installation of different network equipment of the Lantech brand, including the IPGS-2204DSFP switches, is provided due to support of export of a configuration of any device to the separate file with a possibility of its subsequent editing. The PoE-port switch 4 through RS-232 COM port is configured, and its remote configuring and control is exercised via the web browser, SNMP v1, v2c, v3, Telnet or from the command line (CLI). At the same time management of flows on all 4 PoE-compatible ports IPGS-2204DSFP allows to conduct in a full-full duplex (Flow Control) and in half-duplex (Back Pressure).

At the expense of 4 built-in injectors of High Power over Ethernet conforming to the IEEE 802.3at/af standard it is possible to provide via the new Lantech switches with a power supply of the Power Device (PD) device with the increased energy consumption. At the same time the general budget of power which provides the switch on 4 PoE to ports makes 120 W therefore on each device can move up to 30 W. It more than is enough for a power supply of such PoE-compatible devices as high-speed rotary IP cameras including models with the fan and the heater for outside video filming. It is important to note that IPGS-2204DSFP is issued in two modifications: with an operating temperature range from-20 to +60 °C and from-40 to +75 °C.

Effective electric power distribution on the PD devices connected to the switch is performed based on modern technologies of management of a power supply order. For example, the PoE-port switch 4 can perform check of operability of the PD device in the course of transfer on it of a power supply and stops giving of current at its "zero" activity. Besides, IPGS-2204DSFP can be configured on power supply according to the schedule when for each of 4 PoE of ports it is possible to make the working schedule previously.

IPGS-5424

In assortment of the equipment of Lantech company there were in February, 2015 industrial IPGS-5424 switches which are intended for the organization of a street local network of a security system of an object. New products have 24 gigabit ports, 4 slots of mini-GBIC/SFP and capacity of 56 Gbps, support PTPv2 protocol for synchronization of ports for time and SNMP management. Each switch of a local network is supplied with 24 PoE-injectors with giving to 30 W on the port, have the DIDO function and tamperny contact for activation of the attention device in case of unauthorized cracking of the body.

As well as many network devices of the 2nd level of the brand Lantech, IPGS-5424 allows to create local networks with different ring topology which is steady against repeated failures on communication lines. For fast failure detection and the choice of a reserve way of data transmission the new switch of a local network uses all modern network technologies. In particular, for reservation of ways of readdressing of IPGS-5424 supports the STP/RSTP and MSTP protocols, and thanks to compliance to ITU G.8032 standard the switch recovers operability of network after failure less than for 20 ms if about 256 similar commutation devices are united in "ring".

Traffic from IP devices of IPGS-5424 local area network accepts through 24 gigabit ports 10/100/1000T, and for connection to fiber optic communication lines has 4 slots of mini-GBIC/SFP through which data can be transferred to distances up to 120 km. It should be noted that the switch of a local network provides auto detection like the connected cable (Auto MDI/MDIX) on the all 24th ports and can work with high-speed IP cameras. At the same time, the switch has the intuitive graphic user interface, supports automatic display of network topology and other functions for the organization of convenient monitoring of a system.

Along with distribution of flows of video and data from cameras, video recorders and other devices of a video surveillance system within a local network, IPGS-5424 allows to perform power supply of these devices on High PoE technology (IEEE 802.3af/at). It is important to note that the switch of a local network has the big budget for power — 720 W (on 30 W on the port), and allows to power the equipment with the increased energy consumption, including, outdoor rotary cameras. For power saving the new switch exercises control of a power supply order according to the schedule or on a signal from the PoE-detector which monitors existence in network of "active" IP devices.

In construction of IPGS-5424 the metal body with a class of protection IP30 which preserves electronics of the switching device of a local network against blows, vibrations and electromagnetic interferences is used, and provides operating temperature range from-20 to +60 °C. Also the switch of a local network is protected from an electrostatic discharge (EFT) of 4 kV a post. current and Ethernet (ESD) – 6 kV a post. current. IPGS-5424 is expected power supply from a source of 9.5-60 V a post. current, and its energy consumption under an overall load does not exceed 30 W without work of PoE-injectors. It is important to note that the guarantee of the producer for a period of 5 years extends to all switches of the Lantech brand.

In the IPGS-5424 local area network provides synchronization of work of each port to within 1μs as uses PTPv2 protocol. It configures group traffic under the protocol IGMP-snooping v1, v2, v3 with support to 256 multicast of groups, and classification of service quality is conducted on the basis of port, by IPv4, etc. using the QoS protocol. It is important that this switch of a local network provides creation of subnets of VLAN, ensures safety of data transmission of SSH/SSL and identification of users 802.1x/RADIUS. Thanks to existence of 2 inputs and outputs the DIDO switch can initiate alarms at detection of interruptions in power supply, attempts of damage of the equipment, etc., and through relay contact — transmits a disturbing signal to the warning system.
