2019: Announcement

In the middle of October, 2019 the Razer company, the famous producer of game computers, released the first-ever notebook with the optical keyboard.

Razer was the first company which provided the low-profile mechanical keyboard for notebooks in 2016, and now she releases the optical version for the game Razer Blade 15 notebook. The low-profile keyboard is developed especially for fans of games which require almost instant operation of keys and existence of a tactile feedback.

The keyboard of new type fixes clicking of keys almost instantly thanks to infrared radiation. The producer claims that this technology provides the much bigger accuracy and speed in comparison with normal keyboards of notebooks. The course of operation makes only 1 mm, and clicking force — 55 g that allows players to enter quicker commands in the heat of fight. In addition to flash-like clicking, the new keyboard when using publishes pleasant mechanical clicks which provide a feedback.

The optical Razer Blade 15 keyboard is also equipped with N-Key Rollover (NKRO) with an antiglare covering. It will recognize any quantity at the same time keyed. Each key has individual illumination. Illumination is compatible to a management system of Razer Chroma RGB and allows to select the pre-programmed effects, to use the user patterns available only in Razer Chroma Workshop, or to create own.

The configuration of the Razer Blade 15 notebook with the optical keyboard includes graphic processor Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, the 6-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 16 GB of RAM of DDR4 and SSD with a capacity of 512 GB. Such notebook costs $2649, and in 2020 the producer promises to supply with the optical keyboard and other models.^[1]
