2020: Replacement of fron-office system for management of 1605 cash desks

For 1 year the international retail chain stores of "Globus" replaced in the Russian shops a front office system for management of three types of 1605 cash desks and also started software solutions and the equipment for automation of other processes. On June 19, 2020 the CSI company reported about it.

The Russian cash solution is easily updated, supports all changes of the legislation. The retailer improved management of advertizing campaigns, lowered costs and received tools for business development.

Many business processes in Globus network special, in comparison with similar in other retail chain stores. The retailer used the foreign cash solution which is most adapted for its processes and their optimization. A system arranged on the speed and quality, however there was a perspective to face serious restrictions at further development of a product and the hardware.

With the implemented solution for automation of the Globus front office wanted to receive modern tools for business, to manage all types of cash desks from one core, to reduce ownership cost.

Less than in a year the retailer started in the Russian shops of the solution of CSI company: Set Retail 10 for management of classical cash desks, trading day and the loyalty program, Set Touch – for work with touch POS terminals, Set SCO – for cash desks of self-service, stations of payment and terminals of self-scanning Scan&Go. As a result of 1605 cash desks of retail chain stores work steadily and quickly, all types of POS terminals the uniform program core effectively manages.

The retailer began to use discount mechanics of Set Retail. Touch cash desks with the big screen of the buyer allow to show to the client structure of the check and payments, these cards of loyalty. "Globus" in each updating receives additional tools for cost reduction, profit increase and increase in loyalty of buyers – CSI develops Set Retail together with the market and provides them free of charge.

The retailer uses a set of internal systems: CRM BI online store system video surveillances. For stable and fast data transmission between them and solutions of CSI "Globus" installed the integration module Set ESB. Also the retailer started service for accounting of the marked Set Mark alcohol, the solution for order management of buyers of Set Kit, is completely ready to to trade the marked footwear.

In 11 Globus hypermarkets specialists of CSI replaced the cash equipment with touch cash desks of FEC 9635CR — 327 POS terminals is installed on the cash register line, in a zone of restaurants and a trading floor. Cash desks of FEC maintain high loads, are steady against temperature differences, drops of water or fat on the display, and the PCAP screen is equally sensitive to touches in gloves and without them that is especially relevant for restaurant and departments with weight goods in Globus hypermarkets.

Amount of works was very big, the CSI command needed to study deeply our business processes therefore we closely interacted at each stage. The great number of employees both from our party, and from the IT contractor was involved in the project. Only thanks to harmonious work we could achieve all effective objectives and in time start new solutions. So, the circulation of solutions on all cash desks and shops with replacement of the equipment in 7 hypermarkets took only 4 months.

The customer service of CSI supports software solutions, the equipment on the classical cash register line and on the island of self-service, the solution Scan&Go and a price-chekery in Globus shops. Together with the IT contractor the retailer develops new solutions for business.
